One of the names of the Magical Mystery 573 voters has said she didn't vote, and doesn't live in King County.

This should be pursued vigorously. If 8 such frauds can be found, the vote goes back to undecided.

"There is a sacred American right to have legitimate votes counted," Gregoire said in a news release after the ruling. "The justices recognized that principle today."

To bad she does not include the military. When every election the ballots are sent out late so that they can not get here with a post mark on or before Nov 2. It is not the fault of the voter it is the fault of King County, and yet these votes still do not count.

Not so funny that these men and women can die for the right to vote, they just can not exercise that right!

"It was said before the recount that if the second hand recount reversed the election as certified (which was for Rossi) then the election would automatically go to be decided in the legislature.

The democrats have been working for this outcome all along. If this can be tipped to her, even by one vote then it will be decided by the socialist majority in Olympia.

What the Supreme court said today is that invalid ballots can count, homeless absentee ballots with unverified addresses can count, over votes can count, under votes can count and incorrect write-ins can count

BUT ABSENTEE BALLOTS MAILED LATE TO OUR TROOPS IN IRAQ CANNOT COUNT!"

This post deserves a bump and a ping.

He sees nothing unusual in the fact that some of these so-called homeless individuals also give mailing addresses elsewhere. I asked him what the county did to verify the identities of individuals who list the elections office as their residence and he said that they can't be treated any differently from anybody else. I take that to mean, that anybody on the planet who wants to vote (or vote again) can simply claim to be a resident of the King County Elections office.

OPERATION SUPER-FREEP:

Obtain a few thousand voter registration cards for King County, and submit them out exactly that way, using office as also the mailing address.
Let them sort it out at their expense.

If nothing else, it would demonstrate the absurdity of this preposterous position.

Regarding the "I didn't vote" 573 non-voter:
RCW 29A.68.011
Prevention and correction of election frauds and errors. Any justice of the supreme court, judge of the court of appeals, or judge of the superior court in the proper county shall, by order, require any person charged with error, wrongful act, or neglect to forthwith correct the error, desist from the wrongful act, or perform the duty and to do as the court orders or to show cause forthwith why the error should not be corrected, the wrongful act desisted from, or the duty or order not performed, whenever it is made to appear to such justice or judge by affidavit of an elector that:
  • (6) An error or omission has occurred or is about to occur in the issuance of a certificate of election.
Now, as for the rest of this process:
RCW 29A.68.020
Commencement by registered voter -- Causes for. Any registered voter may contest the right of any person declared elected to an office to be issued a certificate of election for any of the following causes:

  • (1) For misconduct on the part of any member of any precinct election board involved therein;
  • (5) On account of illegal votes.
    (a) Illegal votes include but are not limited to the following:

    (i) More than one vote cast by a single voter;

(ii) A vote cast by a person disqualified under Article VI, section 3 of the state Constitution.

    (b) Illegal votes do not include votes cast by improperly registered voters who were not properly challenged under RCW 29A.08.810 and 29A.08.820.

All election contests must proceed under RCW 29A.68.010.

fighting the system from within

As I understand it the Dems currently control both houses of the legislature and the supreme court, and have done so for a long time.

A boycott is a time-honored approach toward dealing with undesirable people and behaviors. I think it should be seriously considered if no other reasonable options remain.

My read on media coverage is that while it is biased editors love conflict and excitement. It draws readers and viewers. If the Pubbies go quietly into the night they will have abandoned the high ground while this election passes into a distant memory.

I agreed, btw, with the way Thune handled his situation, but that was a Senate seat and going quietly was his best option. A governor's race presents an unusual opportunity for different tactics.

Uuuhh....which terrorists, exactly?

"We've got to ask, why is this man (Osama bin Laden) so popular around the world?," said Murray, who faces re-election in 2004. "Why are people so supportive of him in many countries … that are riddled with poverty?

"He's been out in these countries for decades, building schools, building roads, building infrastructure, building day care facilities, building health care facilities, and the people are extremely grateful. We haven't done that.

How many people remember where the first reported break-in of a Republican/Bush campaign headquarters took place, when a computer containing the election get-out-the-vote plans was stolen?

OMGOSH! I have to admit that it had slipped my mind.

Wow.

Doug..they need to insist first of all on all military ballots because that was outright disenfranchisemnt...

they must look at the list of 573 and find out if these are actual citizens of Washington State because a whole bunch of them apparently list a county office building as their residence..

they must demand that all counties count the same way...and that one county ..Kink...can not change that half way thru a recount...

please impress on your contacts that they must take this to the highest court as well as to the court of public opinion....
