Get a better title for the thread so folks will know where to turn. I can't believe how FReepers whine when a thread is duplicated when they don't come up with a title that is compelling and tied to national interests. There are at least six limp threads here about the gov. election.
How about the title (preserve the origial, as always):
Gregoire catches Rossi, Democrats say (THEY COUNTED UNTIL THE DEMS WIN BY 8...THAT'S RIGHT...8 VOTES)
Tar, feathers, pitchforks, orange cloth.
I believe so. Watch for cries of "foul" from the left over using antiquated voting equipment. Or not.
Does anyone remember Indiana 8th 1984? This is very much like that race.
There's nothing "criminal" in that, is there? After all, people make "mistakes", right?
Sounds like Washington needs a good taste of Henry Bowman!
Christine, IF 42 VOTES WAS A TIE, WHAT'S 8?
Well, a mandate, of course.
I want "official" data!
See #18 - do you have time to put that up?
I hope so, truth.....
I think they knew they had just enough yesterday morning. Once they reach the magic number, they don't care any longer about "counting all the votes."
More reason to go to electronic voting machines. It takes the "interpretation" out of the recounts.
No, the law is clear that two recounts are all that happen. That's not Demo rules, it's the law. :-(
The Demo rules are to keep generating votes until the 'Rat wins.
Let's see if the WA repubs have a backbone.
Hold their feet to the fire Freepers.
Jesse Jackson is on his way?????
"Demand a recount ... keep recounting until the Democrat is ahead ... then stop recounting, declare victory, and fight to prevent any further recounting."
That's obviously their plan. I'm not sure how Washingtonians can call this a "recount" with a straight face, given that the total number of votes counted six+ weeks ago was thousands less than what the D's are going to turn in today.
"This recount was completely honest."
