DEPRAVED SCHEMER DESERVES NO SYMPATHY (Don't Hog the Needle, Scott Peterson...)
New York Post ^ | December 20, 2004 | ANDREA PEYSER

DON'T hog that lethal injection needle, Scott Peterson. Pass it on down to Lisa Montgomery when you're done.

Montgomery's alleged crime is so gruesome, it is enough to turn even the strongest stomach. And her motive is so diabolically vicious, it should be sufficient to turn sensitive people to hate.

Someone in this thread or another similar thread asked how these cases get to be national news - why some do and some don't. I think you've discovered it ... when one case concludes they spend a day or two casting about for the next case and when one breaks they latch on.

"Just when you think you've seen the worst in human nature, depravity reaches another low. Real life is sometimes more horrifying than a Stephen King novel."

I guarantee that this woman who thinks she deserves everything she wants no matter how much suffering she causes other people, has gotten away with unbelieveable manipulations in her life. I have had some exposure to borderlines and sociopaths in my work and that is what she is. She planned this kill and she found her victim. Removing the consequences from this kind of act under the banner of "insanity," is to harm society. Severe punishment IS a deterrent for others who would try such a dastardly crime..Not for all others but for enough to save great suffering. The death penalty is the only proper outcome for this horrendous evil.

I doubt a serious attempt at insanity can be made in this case at all. She planned this for months in advance. Fox News had a picture of the both of them together at a previous time. She knew her victim long before she did this.

Such a low IQ she cut a baby from the womb and managed to keep it alive. Yeap, low IQ.

Let's overlook for a minute how any sentient husband, even one from Kansas
Even the Post can't refrain from disparaging "fly-over" country.

I am not at all making light of this horrific crime, but when I read your post about Fox having a picture of the killer and her victim, I immediately had an image of Mr. Burns (The Simpsons) rubbing his hands together and saying "EXcellent!".

They have a confession, proof of premeditation, the husband and baby of the murdered woman, I hate to employ the phrase 'slam-dunk' but if there ever was one, this has to be it.

Of course the more malevolent side of me would like to see Scott Peterson, that puke Mark Hacking (who killed his wife and threw her into a dumpster), and this *itch Montgomery, placed into a large empty concrete vat, then slowly fill it with hydrochloric acid.

That would still be too easy for the likes of them.

I got a better idea...........
If they want to be savages, let them live like savages...
take 1000 of the most violent and worst offenders, drop them on an island, give them each a dollar, and tell them it takes $1000.00 to get off the island...airdrop food in once a week and let them fight for it...
when there is one person left with a thousand, take them before a judge, and have the judge tell them "Sorry pal, we lied. Here are another 1000. now it takes $2000.00 to get off". Repeat as necessary.

i find it interesting that everyone is talking about her IQ. Yet, she had no problem navigating the Internet, following directions to the ladies home. After the slaughter of the Mother, she cleaned the bay, and presented her as a newborn from a hospital. Unhuh, she's not retarded.

Definitely a slam dunk. I think they convinced her to confess to avoid the death penalty. There will be a plea in this one, just get her off the streets essentially.

The low IQ angle is going to be tough to prove. The monster was smart enough to use a computer and communicate with the victim. The quality of the communications will come up at some point, to show state of mind and education level. Also, she was able to plan the murder, strangle the victim, remove the baby and keep her alive, and formulate a story that at least some people found believable. The bleeding hearts among us refuse to acknowledge that we have people who are capable of such atrocities, and they will ascribe to them conditions or motives which are false, instead of looking at them and their deeds and calling them "monstrous cold blooded murderers."

The woman does not have a low IQ, she is just plain crazy. The husband, on the other hand....

i agree, i don't see low IQ as a part of this at all, other than for the gullibility of her dang family. she confessed to doing it, she is not nuts, and she is not stupid. she has nothing going for her. this may not be copasetic to say, but the attractiveness of the victim, much like laci peterson, the smiling, pretty, young pregnant woman, versus the UNattractiveness of the perpetrator here, will play a subconscious factor, i am willing to bet.

She was arraigned in Federal court because she took the baby across the state line.

Depraved Schumer Deserves No Sympathy

Hey, I'm just as opposed to Chuck Schumer as the next FReeper. Still, I feel the death penalty is way over the top as punishment for him. Sure, he's a big-time, tax-and-spend, gun-grabbing liberal, but I say, let's deal with him through the democratic process of fielding a stronger opponent next time and defeating him at the polls. Calling for capital punishment is out of . . .

What? The article is about a depraved schemer, not a depraved Schumer? Never mind.

Scott Peterson is getting an injection, while O.J. is playing golf and a big reason is Laci was so sympatheic, while Nicole was less so.

IMO one of the reasons Scott Peterson got the death penalty was due to the OJ verdict. Also different jury this time around.

And .. did all the media coverage about the possibility that Conner was cut from his mother's womb plant a seed of thought into the demented Montgomery ..??
