One of the main reasons that John Kerry is not President right now is beacuse a lot of Catholics were disgusted for him. His share of the Catholic vote was disproportionately low for a Democrat.

I still contend that a person should vote for the candidate that best represents their views and values, regardless of their religious affiliation (assuming the affiliation isn't in direct contention of their views and values).
