It takes great courage for the Iraqis to even sign up for the police force. They know that anytime they do anything to assist our troops and to rebuild their country, that they are an open target.

I am amazed at the bravery of our troops and the Iraqis who are fighting for freedom.

Stay safe and G-d Bless you.

Yes, their lives have been disrupted and freedom isn't free, that's for sure. Loss of life of innocent civilians or our troops saddens me.

FOX NEWS: 22 lives were claimed today, not sorted out who died today and 50 were wounded. The dining hall is a semi-permanent tent structure. It was a direct hit. 4,000 contractors at that camp. Many of them are expected to be among the dead. (I type fast - used to be a transcriptionist).

I wish you well. God's speed. FV

Thanks FRiend. Way far from that place. Last year at this time, esp in Baquba and Anaconda, they were targeting DFACs at meal time. The got real close to us once in Falluja in April at supper.

This is sad and tragic anytime, but right now it must be hell for those families waiting word.

trust isn't what I am trying to say.

Balad has it a bit worse than we do here that is for sure....

The ones inside the wall are harmless. They have to be or else they woudlnt be inside the walls.

The ones outside are another story of course.

Local Nationals are a common fixture at every U.S. Army site, perform many functions. Even at the unit level you can hire details of local nationals to do police calls, fill sand bags, we had Iraqi Contractors working on Generators, air conditioners, carpentry work. We assigned people in the unit to guard them while they worked and we were responsible to pay them ourselves, they always made me a little nervous. I personally did not find them particularly productive. We were encouraged to do this, winning the Hearts and Mind thing I guess.

Indeed........horrific to lose a loved one or friend at any given moment. But to have NCO's or Officers in Class A uniform knocking on your door during Christmas holiday ..........bless all who sacrifice for our nation, in and out of uniform.

Stay safe Eeeeek......

Remember, Iraqis died in this attack as well and this attack was probably not launched by Iraqis, but rather by a Jordian leading Syrians, Iranians, Saudis and other Jordians....

And don't forget: Yemeni youths head to Iraq to join insurgents

Look, Bush is making a bad mistake with Mosul.
He should let thousands of Kurds go back there.
These Arab terrorists are hiding in Arab holmes in Mosul.
We need to bring in thousands of Kurds in Mosul.
The Kurds want to go back to Mosul, but Bush is not letting them in.
The Kurds would join with us is finishing off the Arabs.
