Matter of fact, as I traveled out to Pottstown today the sky was pure blue with the exception of one gigantic steam cloud hovering above the huge twin concrete chimneys of the Limerick nuclear power plant. I started imagining Homer Simpson hard at work....

Ah but these esteemed scientists also say these more common than ever (and this year earlier) cold snaps are ALSO proof that global warming existed. Being a liberal means playing both sides of the fence (literally in Provincetown , Key West and San Fran).

At least the bitter cold keeps those killer African bees away. The cold will kill a lot of other bugs and varmints off, too.

How about some kind of chinese beetle? My daughter just told me the Dept. of Agriculture stopped in where she works looking for a certain art. Christmas tree. Seems they came in full of the little critters. Good time for a deep freeze.

How about some kind of chinese beetle? I heard about that. Its hard to believe that we're importing Christmas trees from China other than artificial ones.

Correct, deny any stand or statement that is wrong.Act as it never existed and vilify all who point it out as not being able to adapt to new thought, claim the intellectual, than moral high ground.Accuse any who disagree as being ignorent of the "facts" or they would think differently.Keep everything compartmentalized in thinking so there is no need to reconcile mutually incompatible beliefs such as global warming is responsible for cooling trends as well as heating trends.

Put on a windproof jacket and it goes away. It's really hard to get my cows to stand still long enough to get those jackets on them. And they simply refuse to let me put the hoods up.

63 degrees right now where I am in Texas.... (smug grin) Don't get too comfortable -- OK is expecting low temps come Thursday and Friday -- the new Arctic air mass may slip down your way. :)

They are artificial...and ugly according to my daughter. I asked if that's why they sold out already. Her store didn't have any left.
BTW, have you ever heard of a town called KnobNoster?? That's near where my son is stationed and he has a home.

That's cold. It's only going to get down into the 20's here Thursday and Friday. Maybe the grass will slow down and not need to be mowed for a while now.
