I am so disgusted with the SNL about how Santa won't visit the red states. Yes, if you didn't see it it sounds a little strange, but it was the last straw. My sister and I were just flipping through the channels and stopped at SNL and both of us were speechless. It goes something like this... Santa, Al Frankin, some Lib, some Lib, and some Lib sit around and talk about how stupid red state people are for voting for Bush. Rush Limbaugh comes in to save Christmas, but wakes up and is with a young girl, while in some sort of massage parlor. Oh the best part of all, the Brookings Institute is not Liberal. The worst, and most distasteful, is that all red state fathers want to sleep with their daughters. Oh yeah, one more thing, ten percent more of red staters are bigots. Nice, real nice... I'm done. If anyone feels I have acted silly, well all I can do is trust my initial feelings and I was outraged.
Sincerly, What happen to just being funny?
SNL hasn't been funny for almost 20 years.
They are in real trouble if they had Al Franken on.
I don't own a television.
I could tell SNL was getting pretty desperate when Al Gore hosted it some years back. Whoever thinks that stiff is funny needs to get his head examined.
Took you long enough. Watch MadTV instead. They'll poke fun at everything equally. And they're especially hard on celebrities.
The last funny thing SNL had on was norm macdonald doing the weekend update years ago. But someone at NBC was a friend of OJ and norm wouldn't stop making OJ jokes, so he was out of there.
I've been done with them since Sinead O'Connor (my same last name, she's a disgrace!) tore up a picture of the pope.
Watch MAD TV on Fox, instead, it's much better. Much funnier. And, diversity points, the cast ain't all white!

I only ended up there because I was changing channels in an effort to avoid viewing another Ad for Levitra (Or was it Cialis) for the 50th time today. Sounds like it's time to trash the TV!
"Samurai Delicatessen" was the last funny skit on SNL.

I put it on for the first time in months tonight and the Santa sketch was lame..like all their other sketches
Just put it on BookTV for the weekend. If there isn't something good on, it's still a good night light.
They are good at telling stories with pictures- unfortunately, most of their stories are now variants of the left-wing agenda we have all come to know & distrust. I did like "Church Chat" with Dana Carvey though. I grew up with people just like that. But even that wasn't enough to get me to keep watching.

You want to laugh. Watch 2 different SNL skits. When John Beluishi was acting like Joe Cocker, standing behind him and acting out his tics. Then the second is when John actually sang with Cocker dressed and acting like him.

Although SNL has mostly sucked for years now, they will have a funny skit every once in a while.
The one with De Niro saying the names of the terrorists from the hotline is a favorite out here on the morale shares actually, along with the Cowbell skit with Christopher Walken....
other than Sean Connery on Jeopardy, its beyond stupid on what else they do...
