Supersize, pleas.
I've never been much of a Carl's, Jr. fan but I've already resolved to start getting those hamburger and fried egg breakfast sandwiches.
GO HARDEE'S! :D
sounds like the same pencil-necknimrods that banned smoking in bars......they promised business would be booming and the only reason they stayed out was because of smoking.
Well we knew better, but no one listened to us.....the banners never went there to begin with and didn't after they changed everything to suit themselves.
YUCK on all nannyists.
I used to like Chili's. They had a Rojo burger that was a cheeseburger with all this barbecue sauce on it. They stopped making that and their menu is slowing turning into all this stuff with chicken breasts and romaine lettuce, pineapple bits, and pita bread. I stopped going there at all.
Liberals want to tell other people how they ought to live. But they themselves NEVER abide by the rules they impose on the rest of us. That's what make them nannyists.
Problem with Carl's/Hardees is, while they are acting libertarian in this aspect, they have used raw sex and Hugh Hefner in their ad campaign. It isn't the same Carl's now as it was when Carl Karcher built the empire--it's gone far Left as far as social/moral values.... I have personally not patronized Carl's since Super Bowl 2004, when their half-time ad showed a sexy girl much too provocatively for prime time on a mechanical bull....
I'm not a single-issue type of guy.
Pardon me as I rip into my triple 3/4 lb., all beef, burger with 2 slices each of thick sharp cheddar and Swiss cheese, 4 bacon strips, and a good coating of mayo on one bun and a good coating of Extra thick Blue Cheese Dressing on the other, and topped off with smashed potatoe chips three layers high. MMM MMMMM Gooooooooood!
I remember that commercial...it was kind of uncomfortable to watch. Sort of purient, if ya ask me. Then again, I'm a chick, so what do I know? LOL
BTW, does anyone else remember those episodes on Rush's TV show where he was frying this lobster in a pan? I wish I could remember, but I think the lobster had a name.
A super-model munching on a fat burger. Now THERE's a sexy image... ;-)
A recipe for success.
Sprinkle that with some of my home grown habenero pepper flakes and you've got a meal fit for a king.
Is it Carls Jr or Wendy's that had Hugh Hefner do that really offensive commercial?
Its not in the same league Like Miller's Lite's funny commercial of two beautiful women cat-fighting over a hot guy.
It was Carl's out in SoCal but keep in mind that it may have been another voiceover with the same video in another media market--Hardee's out closer to the East coast...?
The Carl's ads went WAY downhill from the point a few years ago where several guys were watching a cutie in a white dress eating one of the burgers, all wondering if she was going to drip BBQ sauce on the dress. Those pushed the envelope ever so slightly but were OK.
Carl's ads used to say 'Go For The Food' but lately it's 'Go For The Lowest Possible Moral Stance'
The philosophical battle between the extreme left wing socialist fascists and "ordinary" Americans who want to live free and not be told how to live their lives runs through everything now doesn't it. "Education" (starting in kindergarten), religion, culture, music, "health" TV programs, movies. It's everywhere. It's unremitting. It's endless.
