The sky was already murky at 4 p.m. when I locked my bike outside Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese on Fleet Street. Inside, it was even murkier: wood-panelled corridors stretched off into the gloom, men in grey suits were wedged together, smoking Bensons and drinking bitter. No one looked even slightly like an Arch Priest of the Council of British Druid Orders. At 4:10 I found a separate little bar near the back of the pub. As I walked in, a big man with round shoulders and grey hair stared at me and I saw the corner of a magazine poking out from inside his coat. As I watched, the whole cover slowly emerged: a yellowy-purple watercolour of a fairy, and the title: The Witchtower. Steve? I said. He nodded.
We bought bitter, found somewhere to sit, and began what turned out to be a three-hour crash course in modern paganism, one of the fastest-growing religions in Britain.

So, can a modern pagan just pick any god to worship? I asked. Egyptian? Roman? African? Are there any rules? Steve put his hands self-consciously under the table, No rules, he said. Being a pagan is about being free from institutional rules. And the gods? Once you start seeking they choose you, really. Everyone has their own path, but we all celebrate the same festivals: the summer and winter solstices, spring and autumn equinoxes and four other festivals: Samhain, Imbolc, Beltane and Lughnasad.
Pagans, I discovered during our second pint, are also united by their sense of the injustices done them by Christians. The last 2,000 years of history is a heart-wrenching tale of innocent occult revivals squashed by ignorant Christians

why? both govern movement of matter, whether it is celestial or our bodies?
Don't get me wrong, I completely agree with Catholic theology. However...
My point is that there is still no indication of the "soul" or "spirit" being that which possesses free will. It is always understood as the collective "I" have free will, but it is not clear, if you're going to go just on the Bible, which possesses the capacity to choose right from wrong.
Third thread regarding God that I've seen you posting all over within two days. I think you're searching for something. What is it?
Are we speaking of a physical law like gravity, or a moral law like 'thou shall not kill', or the physical act of killing someone, which I don't think has anything to with a law, as much as an actual physical act.
Celestial movement of matter? I don't understand this, please explain.
Sorry, or movement of celestial matter? I don't understand what you mean by either one.
"Uh.... HELLO! That's what we've got. A nation built upon rules of law based on English common law"
Nope. Sorry. The basis of the rights that DEFINE America, that the Constitution protects is that they are given by God. The Constitution itself is based upon English common law but it is all meaningless if any man can rescind what is protected.
My point was that there is no foundation to paganism.
God's law is not just a physical law or two. It follows you wherever you go, and whatever evil acts you do, it metes out sanctions, tailored for your personal reality, for every jot and tiddle, and gains for every act of love.
The ten commandments are just the top level of summary. The details are legion.
My other set of car keys
Why would you say a rapist or murderer is cool?
I said, "And those rapists and murderers are cool if they're not caught?"
That sentence meant that rapists and murderers escape man's sanctions if they are not caught, so they're "cool", which is jargon for escaping detection.
This was my way of pointing out that you seem to believe that if a malum in se criminal that gets away with it, everything is "cool", because there are only man's laws. Getting away with it can't be intrinsically bad because God's laws determine the intrinsics.
Dig?
G-d said that there would be those that would become apostate and go after other gods.
Christians also have a lot in common with pagans and that isn't an accident!
> The Constitution itself is based upon English common law but it is all meaningless if any man can rescind what is protected.
No one man can undo the Constitution. That would be unconstitutional. No need to invoke gods of any kind here.
Never came across him before. And I won't complain if I never come across him again.
Take you head out of the sand, Oztrich Boy.
Umm, you are welcome to look at some of the neo-Nazi sites. Pyro is exactly right. The majority lay claim to pagan beliefs as their religion and reject Christianity not only because it is headed by a Jew, but because they believe it hijacked their heritage.
I will guarantee you if you go to one of those sites, you will find that Pyro is correct. The majority are pagans through and through and they are not shy to admit that. Realize that Pyro said NEO Nazis. Go on and google.
Yup, you are 100% correct Pyro. I had some woman I know locally who considers herself pagan have fits when I said that. I told her she was welcome to to use her computer and google neo Nazi and I could think of at least one large site on the web where she can confirm the identification of neo-Nazism and paganism. I told her to clean her own house first in light of the fact of how she was bashing Christmas symbols and Christians. I have yet to hear back from her. I suppose her google verified what I told her.
The neo-Nazi pagans are to Asatru (faith in the Norse gods) what the Klan is to Christians.
_____________
Perhaps, but the Klan was and is a minority compared to all the Christians in the world today. I wonder if the same can be said for neo-Nazis and their percentage of all pagans? No finger pointing, but I'd be curious the make up of paganism. I'd say there is a pretty solid percentage of neo-nazis and then a solid percentage of socialist liberal pagans. The minority in this group I am certain are conservative and call themselves pagan.
Allright, I'll post it...go check out stormfront and see if you don't find what Pyro said is true. Those folks there are unabashadly PAGAN for the most part--go on look, we will await your apology. BTW, what does it profit you and your beliefs to deny your bad elements? You'd think you would want to clean house. Go and take issue with them, ask why they are hijacking your faith and stop arguing what you obviously don't know about on this forum.
