I have not tried Moose yet, but these Sikas that we have over in the swamps on the Eastern Shore sure are tasty. They are actually little Elk from Asia. Small but yummy.

"to have a White Christmas again, we must all give up our SUV's?"

But wait! If we are indeed going to have a White Christmas, isn't that when you NEED an all-wheel-drive SUV?

No, horse drawn sleighs are to be used. But then there are all those methane emissions (a greenhouse gas you know) from the horses. Guess we better use snowshoes and cross-country skis.

Wait...aren't snowshoes and skis made of WOOD??? (And aren't snowshoes strung with catgut...) Maybe we ought to just make an igloo and sit out the winter...

I have come to the conclusion, that no matter what demands or what you give to the liberals, they are never satisfied in what ever you do to keep peace between the 2 parties.

But you aren't burning the wood. And most are made out of composite materials these days which are a byproduct of (horrors!!) oil.

Go here to start. Select your region of the country and then your county. Look under the radar images and select Forecast Discussion. Great unedited meteorologist speak about the upcoming weather.

Jen, as a true Pittsburgher, you know what this means. Bring toilet paper and bread home with you. If there is the remote hint of a bad snow, there will be a run on the Giant Iggle...

Yes! The Great Lakes Area, and the Atlantic Ocean are in exactly the same positions!

Well, yeah, on a solar system scale, sure they are. On tha tsame scale, right now, I'm in Peggy McIntaggart's bedroom. Woo Hoo!!

In reality he's about the biggest model-hugger in the world. His shtick about being some maverick who looks at the pattern unlike those dumb peons who just look at models is a load of BS.

I'm picking up the vibe that you don't like the guy! /sarcasm

Seriously, I like him a lot. We get him here in the Raleigh, NC area and I have found him to be accurate most times that he goes out on a limb and predicts things that go against the conventional wisdom. He is very enthusiastic and his jokes are usually really lame, but as a meteorologist, I find him to be one of the best I've heard.

Please, NO SNOW here in NC. I normally would welcome it but this is the first year in many that my husband has had too much work in December. Normally it is very slow for brick masons. NO SNOW!

I have already been to the NOAA site and read the discussion for my area. It was not that informative concerning the chances of a major storm.
