This year, Shrum racked up his eighth loss in an unblemished 0-8 record of losing Democratic presidential campaigns. He's the embodiment of the Democratic Party ideal: Screw up, keep getting hired or promoted.

No, as far as Shrum is concerned, he gets a gold star for his miserable performance. To get ahead in the Democrat party, you have to fail and dance to the same tune as Bubba and Billary.

OK, you obeyed the rules.

Shrum's losing streak obscures the fact that he is also a swine.

Dang it, Ann, you've got to stop holding these things in!

Michael Jackson: fired Geragos almost immediately after hiring him. Jackson has sterile facial masks that lasted longer than this guy. I guess he figured, hey, it's no skin off my nose.

Oh, man...

"There's a name for people who take a dim view of circumstantial evidence because they don't understand the concept of circumstantial evidence: They're called "O.J. jurors."

Much as I like Ann and love her writing I must disagree with her on this.

It is true that the evidence against O.J. was circumstantial but much of that was PHYSICAL circumstantial evidence. Physical evidence placed him at the scene of the crime. Physical evidence placed the victims blood on him , in his car, at his home etc.

In the Peterson case there was NO PHYSICAL EVIDENCE. Not one piece of physical evidence tied him to her death. Heck - they didn't even have a cause of death!

I'm not saying he didn't do it - he probably did - but if I was on that jury I sure would have liked to have seen at least one piece of actual physical evidence before I passed a death sentence.

Physical evidence can be circumstantial. Ann notes this, referencing DNA and fingerprints as examples of such cases.

Where do you go when you've screwed up one case after another? When you're a laughingstock and people turn the other way when they see you approaching? When you realize you have given lawyers a worse reputation than they already have?

To the DNC Chairmanship, of course. Geragos for DNC Chairman. It's the next logical step in both of their demises.

I'm glad the dems no longer use the motto, "Just Win, Baby!"

Worse, the news is reporting "celebrity lawyer" Geragos is stunned by his loss. He always loses! Where did he get this reputation of being a hotshot attorney?

I'm wondering the same thing. I would love to know who first described Geragos as a good lawyer. Because I haven't seen it yet. He should be peddling PI infomercials on late night t.v. Mesothelioma should be his specialty. Whatever the hell that is~!!

That picture remains the best one yet, in my opinion.

Yeah, I'm kind of puzzled by the famousness of Geragos as well, in that I never remember him actually winning anything.

Seriously, folks, though, Dean has GOT to be the ticket for the DNC. This guy literally looses with a whoop and a hollar! I don't want someone who'll just keep the vehicle on cruise control on its path off the cliff. Get a yahoo like Dean to step on the gas a bit. The suspense arising from them finally doing it to themselves is killing me.

The same place Donald Trump got his reputation as a hotshot businessman - television. I want to see Geragos handle Trump's next bankruptcy.

It is all about getting you to watch the news day after day to see if Peterson gets the death penalty or rotts in prison.
It is hype for ratings.
