What is wrong with people??

What is going on over there?

I'm happy to say, Christian Christmas songs are being played at the chow halls and MWR facilities on the bases in Iraq. the Christmas tree in the chow hall has an angel on top of it. Banners say "Merry Christmas.

For cryin' out loud, let's not tell the ACLU.

Better yet, let's tell them and let them come over here and try to make us take anything down. :-)

Gary Mote who handles Public Affairs from the Southeast Sunbelt Region says the decision was to "...make sure no one is offended."

A lighted snowman, reindeer and sleigh has replaced the tree.
Now I'm 'offended'.

They replace "Christmas" with holiday.

Holiday means "Holy Day".

I worked in an office where half the people were Jewish and half Christian (at least nominally), and nobody complained about the tree put up for the "holiday" season.

"Gary Mote who handles Public Affairs from the Southeast Sunbelt Region says the decision was to "...make sure no one is offended.""

The wisdom of Aesop told us all how to handle critics:

The Man, The Boy, and the Donkey

A Man and his son were once going with their Donkey to market. As they were walking along by its side a countryman passed them and said: "You fools, what is a Donkey for but to ride upon?"

So the Man put the Boy on the Donkey and they went on their way. But soon they passed a group of men, one of whom said: "See that lazy youngster, he lets his father walk while he rides."

So the Man ordered his Boy to get off, and got on himself. But they hadn't gone far when they passed two women, one of whom said to the other: "Shame on that lazy lout to let his poor little son trudge along."

Well, the Man didn't know what to do, but at last he took his Boy up before him on the Donkey. By this time they had come to the town, and the passers-by began to jeer and point at them. The Man stopped and asked what they were scoffing at. The men said: "Aren't you ashamed of yourself for overloading that poor donkey of yourself and your hulking son?"

The Man and Boy got off and tried to think what to do. They thought and they thought, till at last they cut down a pole, tied the donkey's feet to it, and raised the pole and the donkey to their shoulders. They went along amid the laughter of all who met them till they came to Market Bridge, when the Donkey, getting one of his feet loose, kicked out and caused the Boy to drop his end of the pole. In the struggle the Donkey fell over the bridge, and his fore-feet being tied together he was drowned.

"That will teach you," said an old man who had followed them: "Try to please all, and you will please none."

That's just silly. There's no reason to remove Christmas trees from public buildings.

May be a funny tree; but WHO is responsible or irresponsible as the case may be; for making these decisions?

I am offended everyday by other peoples beliefs, behaviors and practices. Such as:

1)Public immodest dress

2)Public use of foul language

3)semi-pornographic images on magazine covers prominently displayed at supermarket checkouts (and no I'm not even talking about Playboy)

I could go on forever. My point being, why is no one worried about offending ME?

And the US used to be such a bastion of freedom. What a shame. All your freedoms are slowly disappearing. No more Christmas trees less you offend your Muzzy population. (No doubt this is to ensure that when the day comes for them to subjugate you all, they will be lenient with the be-headings.)

No more freedom of speech less you get arrested for hate crimes.

I suspect that it will not be long before your freedom loving peoples are flocking to the shores of merry oldie England for safety.

What you need is a revolution.

If the court did it, the court's home page is here:

http://www.flmd.uscourts.gov/

This site includes names and phone numbers of the justices.

GSA may not be guilty on this if it's at the Federal Court building.

Not sure which justice might have ordered it out, but the chief justice for the middle district of Florida is Patricia C. Fawsett. But they have several offices, only part of which sit in Jacksonville. If you click on the link for Juciary information, you will find a list of justices and their contact info. Don't know if the justices are listed according to rank or not.

Contact for the GSA for this region is:

GSA's homepage is:

Good, it insults me too. It should be replaced with a nativity scene.

Well, speaking for all people of the north, I spit upon southerners by displaying snowmen. Snowmen are my secret way of being bigoted. Every time you see anything having to do with snowmen, know that it is I who am responsible, and that I am sending signals to my snowmen brethren to also join in my bigotry of everyone who has never written their names in the snow with their urine.

By the way, anyone who dares to display a palm tree will be retaliated against by snowmen everywhere.

You better watch out.

They'll say it was "a fire hazard" or was overloaded with ornaments, or "an attractive nuisance" that small children were approaching too eagerly to touch, or somesuch jive nonsense.
