Watch carefully now. No food or water allowed in. How hot is it going to get on the bus in Greece right now?
Amen to that!
Also if these are from Basayev, they are probably drugged to the hilt and crazed. Wasn't it PCP they discovered that the Beslan terrorists had been using?
Yes, but you're forgetting that in return for their doing that, we Greeks, as we say - and God forgive me for saying this it being so close to Christmas - tha tous gami'soume tin panagia!
Translation?
You're still up! Wait it out with me for another hour?

Athens. The diver of the hijacked intercity bus in Athens who manages to escape has taken the keys with him, Greek TV channel ERT announced. The TV channel adds that hijackers have pulled out carbines little after they got on the bus.
Nationality of hijackers is not yet officially confirmed. There is information that one of the terrorists is Russian and his name is Hassan, which speaks for Chechen origin.

Internal swedish banter. :)
That's what they want to do! Not land it in Russia, but really land it in Russia. As in crashing it into something.
Oh - happy stay in Sweden. I am glad to have your company.
"Not land it in Russia, but really land it in Russia. As in crashing it into something."
I wouldn't put it past them... If they really just wanted to "go home", they could have done it the way most people do, that is, buy a ticket!
According To One Of The Hostages In The Hijacked Bus Terrorists Have Bag Full Of Grenades
15 December 2004 | 11:10 | FOCUS News Agency
Athens. According to one of the hostages in the hijacked bus, whom a Greek media managed to connect to via phone, terrorists have a bag, full of grenades, AFP reported.
As AFP announced earlier, three armed men have hijacked an intercity bus travelling from the city of Marathon to Athens. The bus driver, who managed to escape, has said for a Greek radio station that there were three hijackers involved, and two of them are armed. Police believes that hijackers are Albanians.
A large security perimeter has been established around the hijacked intercity bus in Athens, Greece. The area is closed by police with ambulances standing by. According to the driver, hijackers have opened fire at the police but the information hasnt been confirmed.
RIA Novosti announced one of the terrorists said he is Russian and his name is Hassan.

Then you have to wonder why chechens would want to take a plane to Russia. It's not like they're very welcome there.
So I think that is what they want the plane for.
So far everything is sounding typical for a chechen situation.
The only things missing are mining the outside of the building or trapping the place, which could have been done in some way that we don't know yet, and some sort of outside contact to horrify the police, like a video of raping young girls, for instance. Since they don't seem to have video capabilities, I am wondering if they will be doing an execution soon and making a very public display of it.
Seems to be some conflicting reports on this...Some reports are saying it's two hostage takers while others are saying it's three, and some are still saying it's albanians while others are saying Russian (Chechen). Guess we won't know the details until it's all over, which I hope is soon.
Btw, BBC just said one hostage has been released. No more details on that though.
