Albanian terrorists take Greek bus hostages
My Sat news is reporting 2 Albanians took an unknown number of hostages on the bus. Bus driver escaped.
A wave of such terror attacks hit Greece in the 90s.

passengers were able to make calls out which indicate they were albanaians. (passengers were calling police)
mornign rush can be seen starting in the background of the video feed.
Hostage holders are now demanding a replacemetn driver.

IDF Radio: 27 people on bus. 2 hostage-takers. Hostage takers demanded that the bus driver who escaped be returned to the bus. Bullets that were heard were suspected as being from a rifle used for hunting by those in area.
They want the same bus driver? Or do you think they want a bus driver, period, and think they will be allowed to drive away?
Police are now interviewing driver to establish exactly how many are in the bus. lay of the land so to speak.
Reporters are saying that police using cameras believe nobody has been shot.
One report is they are armed with two pistols and a sawed off or short barrel shotgun.
Police are removing reporters from a gas station close to the scene.

Is the IDF radio reporting anything about the police moving buses to block in the hostage takers?
One reporter is complaining this is being done to keep a visual image out of the camera, the other reporter on a different channel is saying this police are now having some form of game plan to further block the bus and just wait out the situation.
The bus driver reported two hostage takers.
One passenger who called the police reported three. still no confirmation.
Police are trying to find out passenger names to get cell numbers.
Report now saying Bus driver opened all doors and did not know how many people escaped. At leat one woman passenger got out.
Police were on the scene within 4 to 5 minutes per eyewitness in area.

They are not going anywhere unless all the vehicles blocking them in are moved.

Citizens in area are waking up to this in their area. Police are trying to keep citizens out of th4e way.

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "About two dozen passengers are being held hostage at gunpoint on a bus in the Greek capital Athens.
Armed officers have surrounded the vehicle, which was hijacked just before dawn on its route from the town of Marathon into central Athens.
The driver of the bus escaped. He said there were two gunmen, both Albanian, a police source told Reuters news agency.
Witnesses said at least two shots were fired at police when they arrived at the scene shortly after the takeover.
"The bus is stopped, police have surrounded it," a police official said.
He said a group of negotiators had arrived at the scene, which was outside a nightclub.
Motive unknown
The gunmen are said to be carrying hunting rifles or shotguns.
A police spokesman said they were probably Albanian.
"We cannot say it 100%, but it is very likely according to our information," he said."

Greece being the country of my origin,and the USA being the one of my birth, I sincerely hope that both have decided that they've had enough of this sort of thing, and to hell with the geneva conventions, as those rules were written with humans, not animals, in mind, and that they, in the words of Dennis Miller, "Go Roman" on their asses no matter the price!
And yes, I have considered that there may be a relative on that bus!
