*AHEM*
"According to the Electoral Count Act of 1887, one senator and one House Representative are required to contest an election prior to inauguration. We have the representatives. We still need a senator. Let Senator Boxer know that we want her to be that senator by signing our petition. The signed petitions will be delivered to her in person by a coalition of representatives from a variety of concerned organizations and individuals."
Lets do the same to essentially render this one dead. Just for fun :)) btw: note the Blue County Intelligencia in Berkeley spell their city/county with 2 different spellings!
Link for the earlier petition is (ps: thanks Pj-Comix): http://www.petitiononline.com/jkb1214/petition.html
pps:
If we use DUMMYLAND, DU as a state and address they show up in the talley.
Duly signed by Delusionata Fuzzybutt! The best part was seeing the "Delusionata, your signature has been added. Please forward by E-mail to all of your friends"!!!
Great idea!
I'm in there!
It doesn't work. You cannot see any of the signatures nor comments, just the total number of signatures.
Instead, you get the following note:
PetitionOnline.com has temporarily disabled the display of email addresses for signatories who chose to make their address public. We have done this to reduce the spread of harmful new viruses which harvest email addresses from the web cache of infected computers. This will also prevent spammers from harvesting email addresses from this site.
Just the other say I was saying that if you want a sentence parsed, spell checked and grammar checked, just post it up on FR.
The one time I don't run spell check... ;)
True, it isn't so much fun for us to see, like the other one.
What is funny is that our remarks will be in the delivered petition. If we pollute it enough, they can't use it (not that on-line petitions are worth much, anyway).
The idea we made a DUmmy go through and spend a lot of time editing out our remarks is thanks enough.
The earlier petition is long gone.
Yeah, saw that today.
Bummer -- some classic FReeps on it.
There is a list of a few of the best -- elsewhere, I think in DU Funnies
