U.S. Sen. Zell Miller will be joining Fox News Channel as a contributor next month, Fox announced Tuesday.
Kevin Magee, vice president for programming at Fox, said in a news release that the Georgia Democrat will begin appearing on the network in January.
"I am excited to be joining FOX News Channel and am eager to contribute to the continuing success of the network," Miller said in the release.
Miller was governor of Georgia for two terms and was appointed to the Senate to fill the unexpired term of Republican Sen. Paul Coverdell in 2000. He has also taught both history and political science as a professor at University of Georgia, Young Harris College and Emory University.
Miller, a strong supporter of President Bush, was the keynote speaker at the Republican National Convention earlier this year. He has infuriated many Democrats with his independent stance.
Cool!
The name of his soon to be solo segment: "Mad as Zell, and Not Taking it Anymore!" an hour long show devoted to Bills, Decisions, and Events that really tee him off. Join Zell Miller as he let's us have it - straight.
Followed by "The Fox Hunt" - where Col. Hunt tells it like it is about our military might, and what we're doing right. Hunt makes the American crowd proud!
Man wouldnt that piss Helen Thomas off????
Zell would induce a heart attack to her in about a month
Zell is one hell of a man!He has the guts, to stand up to the wack jobs, in his party!
Excellent! I was afraid I wasn't gonna get my Zell fix when he retired.
Yes, bah humbug.
Wow!
Give 'em Hell, Zell!
The Democratic Underworld are losing their minds over this one.
What a fantastic Christmas present. Zell Miller is a national treasure, and Fox News has pulled off a coup here. Zell will raise the roof on the ratings wherever he appears in the Fox lineup. I would love to see him eventually have his own show on Fox.
Great news! I love Zell.
I'll never forget my brother-in-law's conversation with him, when he and my sister where honored with a personal meeting with the President and Zell when he came to our hometown in Ohio. (Apologies for those who have already heard this, I've posted it several times.)
My brother in law said, "Sen Miller, may I shake your hand?
Zell says, "Well, who the "heck" are you, son?"
My brother-in-law told him his name, and Zell grabbed his hand with a firm handshake and said, "Well, I'm Zell Miller, pleasure to meet you!"
My brother in law is a pretty tough guy, but I think he kinda did...LOL
I'll be watching lots more now. Go Zell!
