A good example how an armed citizen can help fight crime.

If gun control is so effective, why do Baltimore and D.C. have such horrendous crime rates?

Way to go, Virginia!

"In the parking lot behind the "Treasure Chest" nightclub"... "The gentleman's club..."

Let's see... A "gentleman's club" named, "Treasure Chest".

I wonder what kind of "establishment" this could be?...

"hitting Kensler in the arm, leg and chest."

Not a very good shot, but it's the thought that counts sometimes.

The shooter survived the attack but may not survive when his wife finds out that he was at the Treasure Chest instead of at the Library like he told her.

She (the wounded perp's mother) says her son shot as he was being robbed.

She forgot to say the part about her son being an honors student.

Many thanks to this citizen for cleaning up the trash. Hope the thug answers his wake up call, next time he might need the morgue not a medic.

A good one for "The Guns are Useful Tools" file.

Police say inside the car was a second suspect who they are still looking for. That's why they haven't released the name of the victim. They don't want to jeopardize the ongoing investigation.

Ummmm. How many folks robbed the 'Treasure Chest' that day? Do the police think that the missing perp can't put 2(dec) and 2(dec) together to come up with 100(bin)? Ok.... (backing away slowly...).

It's a pity the reporter didn't ask Sarah Brady for a comment on the story.

The son is a victim???? I guess the shooter planted the crack on him then shot him or vise versa. Lets see, how bout this headline.... " Honor student in possession of crack Cocaine gets shot in wood-be robbery attempt..."

Now Mom is happy... (sarcasm)

If only he shot him in the head and killed him we would not have to pay to feed and comfort his criminal ass...

Kensler apparently isn't talking. Hmmm, those wounds look like they need to be cauterized. Nurse! Heat my scalpel to cherry red.

I don't mean to be...well....a wet blanket or anything... and I'm pro-gun.... but this article is jest a leeeettttlllleee bit to the right of center. Might I submit a more truthful headline?
"Big Cowboy With Legal Gun Blows Away STupid Mommy's Boy Heroin Addict Outside Booby Bar".

Let's try and stay honest.....

What a sad story...

The bad guy lived, and is recuperating at a hospital room paid for by the taxpayers! :(

The only problem I have with this is the criminal is still alive. That is why I want to carry a 50 mag handgun and that would not happen.

One good torso or "A" ZONE hit and the guy's not down for the count? He's in fair condition? Musta been a smallish caliber. Two in the chest and one in the head...makes 'em dead.... is my motto.

This reminds me of the story a few months back in St. Louis about the elderly couple who were being robbed . . .

The robber had the wife at knife or gunpoint (can't remember which) and the husband came in. The robber told the man to give him all his money. The older man told the robber that he needed to go upstairs and get it.

The robber let him go upstairs and the elderly man came down with a gun and shot the robber. No charges were filed against the homeowner.

To put icing on the cake . . .

The elderly man was a retired Marine.

Kensler, listed in fair condition at Riverside Regional Medical Center,

Sorry to hear that.

is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of crack cocaine.

What about assault with a deadly weapon and armed robbery? Those would seem more serious charges. The actual charges are malum prohibitum(against the law but not necessarily wrong in themselves) , while the latter two are malum en se (wrong in itself).
