Please help with this one.
Damn, just damn. Specialist David Mahlenbrock was killed by an IED on December 3rd in Kirkuk, Iraq.
I received this email via Soldier's Angels. It's from David's Squad in Bravo, 65th Engineers and they are forwarding a request from David. It appears that David had a special letter sent to his squad in the event of his death. Hold on to your seats, folks:

Thanks to you all for responding. I posted it on my blog (which has a few readers) and did what I could locally but I knew this was the best place to take a request of this sort. I haven't had much time to be on-line today or yesterday, so thanks for taking it and running with it!
AmericanMade1776,
My condolences, may your father-in-law rest in peace. Be assured I'll dedicate the song to him as well, in my heart.

I have mine in the CD player ready to go. It's now 10:31am Colorado Time. Listening to Rush and at 11am my time, I will push the button to play American Soldier while I say a prayer for this brave young man. God bless his soul and God bless America.

I did it. I played my American Soldier CD at 11am which was 1pm Eastern time and said a prayer for this brave hero. God bless him and his family. He will be missed so much by them. They were all lucky to have each other in their lives. I take that back...not lucky...they were blessed. Rest in peace, Marine.
