By BETH DeFALCO, Associated Press Writer
PHOENIX - U.S. Sen. John McCain (news, bio, voting record) said Monday that he has "no confidence" in Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, citing Rumsfeld's handling of the war in Iraq (news - web sites) and the failure to send more troops.
McCain, speaking to The Associated Press in an hourlong interview, said his comments were not a call for Rumsfeld's resignation, explaining that President Bush (news - web sites) "can have the team that he wants around him....

Personally I have no confiDence in McCain's sanity. He was a good soldier during the election, NOW SHUT UP and GET TO WORK DOING SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE!
It sure didn't take McCAin very long to revert back to Bush-bashing - I'm ashamed that he's my senator (no, I didn't vote for him either!)
He has to open his mouth before the new Senate is sworn in and he becomes less relevent...
The man Kerry first offered the VP nomination to chimes in.
Why is he relevent anyway?
No confidence in McCain.
Never have, never will.
I get more disgusted with McInsane every day.
Mr. Shark, meet Senator McCain. Senator McCain, meet Mr. Shark.
No, no, no, Senator, MEET him, don't JUMP him! Too late...

Have to make sure that bastard doesn't get anywhere near the nomination in 4 years.
I think it's Rummy's stuttering that did it for him. Rumsfeld could work on a little self confidence. However, I have confidence in him.
That actually might've stung a bit, coming from a Republican. :)
Let me clarify. I have confidence in Rumsfeld, not McCain. McCain could barely make himself endorse Bush this election.
ru4liberty: No Confidence in McCain
Read American Soldier by Gen. Tommy Franks, it gives insight on the dynamics between Rumsfeld and military leaders, administration and anyone else coming into contact with him, interesting man. I don't think he lacks in confidence but he certainly operates at FULL SPEED AHEAD!

And we care what he thinks...why?
