Don't get the verdict you want? Change jurors. Physical evidence? We don't need any. When you post stuff like that, you only prove your ignorance of the case.

...the jurors were not removed for trivial matters. Exactly what were those matters, please? I never heard.
Maybe they were valid reasons, but it bothers me. The jury was deadlocked for a week or so - they removed two jurors - then the guilty verdict came down one day later. I really would like to know what went on there.
the jury decided on the preponderance of the evidence Ummm, this was not a civil trial, it was criminal. Therefore (under the U.S. legal system), the evidence had to be "beyond a reasonable doubt".
Under the Soviet system it was different.

Yes, I like her and also think they should have waited to interview them. Very tough case/decision.

I would say that's a fair assessment.
They have done their duty and are feeling the weight of the seriousness of the decisions they have reached. They have done well.

Wow -- good response. When your protector becomes your killer, he indeed deserves the ultimate sentence.

Juror said that Scott had planned this, it was no spur of the moment ordeal.

OK, I admit I am ignorant. Please educate me. What physical evidence linked Scott to the murder?

Meaning that weighed in on her decision to vote for the death penalty.
The husband and father was not their protector but their murderer.
Death.
To: snopercod
What physical evidence linked Scott to the murder? You mean other than his admitting to being in the exact spot where the bodies would have to have been dumped to come ashore where they did?
It's circumstantial; and the vast majority of trials ARE decided on circumstantial evidence.

Beth Carris: why spilt verdict?
Answer: It could not be concluded that there was premeditation on Connor.

Redhead says Scott's inconsistant statements right from the start pointed toward guilt and then the evidence built from there.
Other male juror says if the bodies had been found at the Arizona desert or Yosemite, that'd be one thing. But they turned up RIGHT WHERE Scott said he had been.
He said he tried to consider other reasonable scenarios to explain this away and found it impossible.
To: Petronski
Thanks once again, brother. I will remove myself from further silliness on this thread immediately.
