Sen. Clinton against illegal immigration [By primary-time, she'll belong to the NRA]
(UPI) ^ | Dec. 13, 2004 | wire

Washington, DC, -- Sen. Hillary Clinton's hard-line against illegal immigration is seen by some as the Democrat's attempt to solidify support for a 2008 presidential bid.

Clinton, D-N.Y., who has received the liberal moniker for her efforts as first lady in the 1990s, may be trying to win support in conservative states by coming out against illegal immigration, the Washington Times reported Monday. In fact, the paper reported, Clinton's stance is more conservative than President Bush's, calling for an entry and exit ID system for immigrants.

it is a risk, but she is better off without the crazy left if she can pick up conservative/moderate support. Much better off. In this last election conservatives/moderates really had no choice but to vote for the very liberal Bush, since Kerry was far worst, but that will not be the case in 2008 when the democrats try to retake the middle by moving hard right. Too soon to tell if the Rats move to the right will work, but it might and it's something the democracts must do if they ever want to govern the country again.

I figured a conservative thrid party would arise to claim the right as the GOP rifts left, but the Rats moving right is a very smart move. It will be fun to watch.

No question that the Dems must move right but we're going to find out how many moderate Dems are left compared to the Michael Moore crowd.

She is against illegal immigration, unless the illegal
immigrant is rich and able to contribute to her campaign
coffers. . and you're right. Hillary will be an NRA
member riding in her pickup down in her new "home state" of
Arkansas with her gun on the rack and a coon hound sitting
between her on the driver's side and the prospective First
Lady, Bill, on the passenger's side before 2008.

She is anything you want her to be, all things to all
people, just like Bill was - and no one knew about the
dagger until it stuck them in the back, too late.

The solution to the problem is to punish employers that hire illegals, but you can not punish them if you do not give them the means to determine who is legal and who is not. Slove that problem and enforce the law and you have solved the illegal immigration problem. No need to have troops on the border, leave it mostly open. Go after employers and the illegals will go home on their own.

We don't want more lies Hillary, we want action. Get up in the Senate and pitch a fit. Let the illegals know exactly where you stand - on the side that will give you the most votes. So if there are more Mexicans voting in 2008 than conservatives I'm sure you'll discover that you have a Mexican illegal in your family tree somewhere - she married that Jewish uncle you had, remember?

I am going to just flat-out brag on this

You deserve to take a victory lap on that one. People in their hatred of the Clintons fail to acknowledge just how good at politics they are.

I believe we'll also see Hillary begin to actively campaign against gay marriage. This, as we learned, was precisely what Mr. Clinton advised Kerry to do.

I think the Hollyweird crowd knows that they are very much out of favor and out of touch. Their big block buster moves are mostly flops, while good old fashion movies do well. I expect the corporate bean counters will soon be pulling the plug on the carzy left in Hollyweird.

I can't vouch for your driving but you got her pegged pretty good.

Hillary is a very 'disturbed' woman. I watch her eyes closely when she speaks... they're void of emotion... doll's eyes. She is capable of working an audience into a frenzie... much like a famous, failed Austrian painter who needs no introduction.

The GOP is making a huge mistake by drifting left on issue after issue and bankrupting the country with it's out of control spending.

Things are moving fast. People are already looking past the inauguration towards 08. Many thought this was the big, critical election. They were very wrong.

2008 will make this last election seem tame and boring.

Never thought I'd see the GOP become the open border, big spending, left wing party, and the Democrats become the conservatives.

Left is right, right is left.

As a political strategy, running to the right of George W. Bush on this issue (and maybe coming out for a balanced budget) may prove effective.

Let's get some opposition research out there, folks. Herself is not INTERESTED in the effects of an influx of undocumented aliens, except as a club to whack the Republicans with.

And a balanced budget is codeword for higher taxes and cuts in military spending. Cuts in military spending is withdrawal and surrender of hard-won gains against the terrorists.

If you're an actor you can receive all the critical aclaim and awards you want but if middle Americans aren't going to see your movies...you won't be a star for much longer.

Re 2008, I agree, 2008 is the BIG one and right now it does not look good for the GOP. Hope Bush gets to fill alot of judge ships with conservatives before the Rats take over in 2009. I just do not see how the GOP can remain in power with open borders, huge trade deficits, huge budget deficits, out sourcing and it's "free trade" policies that are stripping the nation of it's ability to generate wealth employ a middle class and defend itself.

This has absolutely NOTHING to do with her trying to become a moderate or curry conservative favor.

This has to do with HISPANICS now out numbering BLACKS as the largest voting minority on the block!

It has to do everything with currying favor with BLACKS!

Even the Clintons now KNOW that without at least a 90% Black vote behind them, RICH WHITE DEMS will never be elected to office again!

It will be us Reps and Black Dems!

And that my friend would be too much for the RICH WHITE DEM LEADERSHIP to bear!~}

And the fact that she is gong to run as an "Iron Lady", (strong on defense, strong on borders and finscally responsible) should scare the hell out of the open borders, borrow and spend globalist GOP.

She's all talk. And the stupid party brought it on themselves (that's if you think they are independent minded). Me thinks their puppetiers have shoved them in this box.

If she can convince me she is sincere, she could get my vote

Looks like she already has.

Would you like to buy the Brooklyn Bridge?
