WASHINGTON — Jerome R. Corsi, a leader of the Swift Boat Vets and POWs for Truth campaign against former Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John F. Kerry, is hard at work on his next political project: preparing American public opinion for what he sees as a likely war with Iran.
"The world cannot tolerate the potential that these mad mullahs would have a deliverable nuclear weapon, even one, secretly developed," Corsi said in a recent interview. "They might just launch on Tel Aviv. The moment the world intelligence community becomes convinced that could happen, either the U.S. alone or the U.S. plus Israel or Israel alone will seriously contemplate a preemptive strike, and I'd be in favor of it."
Corsi's credits include a doctorate in political science from Harvard University and more than 10 books. He was not a Swift Boat veteran himself, but rose to fame as coauthor of the bestselling book "Unfit for Command — Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry." The group was accused of distorting the facts of Kerry's Vietnam War record, but their campaign was nevertheless seen as damaging to Kerry's candidacy.
The group also raised millions of dollars for television ads attacking Kerry, although the Bush campaign insisted that the group was not acting on the president's behalf.
Corsi, who believes a U.S.-Iran war could occur as soon as March, said his Iran campaign is an independent mission, with no backing from either the White House or from the Swift Boat veterans group. His forthcoming book on Iran's nuclear program, due out in 2005, is funded by an advance from publisher Joseph Farah, editor of the conservative website WorldNetDaily.com.

He was discredited. John O'Neill and other Swifties wouldn't be seen with him, and he had to lay low during the campaign.
And, they didn't have to go far. Just back to 2003, to read about his criticism of the Church:
CORSI: Maybe while he's there he can tell the UN what he's going to do about the sexual crimes committed by "priests" in his "Church" during his tenure. Or, maybe that's the connection -- boy buggering in both Islam and Catholicism is okay with the Pope as long as it isn't reported by the liberal press. (03/03/2003)

You and I aren't public figures. Corsi's ill-considered remarks will hound him from now on.
take a look at the "history" books by howard zinn. for example, his "a people's history of the united states".
the technique of evil is to analyze everything from hindsight. obviously, we know more now than our leaders did in the past. and then zinn turns on our leaders using these hindsights and attacks them.
life has a lot of unknowns, but not for zinn. he lambasts american leaders for not making his correct decisions.
the result is a hate-america history, widely copied in academic circles.
another exponent of this technique is mike davis who wrote "city of quartz", a history of los angeles. you need to take a shower every chapter or so. davis who has only a bachelors' degree, in invited to teach around the united states; the last i heard, at princeton, thus contaminating another generation with hate america.
Not true. Jerry and John were both featured speakers at a recent conservative conference -- I had drinks with both of them them beforehand, and I don't recall John wearing a disguise. The Swifts and POWs recently held a "where do we go from here" summit in Philadelphia, and of course Jerry was invited. And far from "having to lay low", Jerry did non-stop radio interviews during the final weeks of the campaign, sometimes as many as 10 in a single day.
We're now at the point where an honest person apologizes for having made inaccurate statements, and where the other type ignores the refutation of his claims and launches a new barrage of falsehoods. Your call.

You said that the Swifts wouldn't be seen with Corsi, and that he had to lay low during the campaign. Both of these are false, as I pointed out.
