A FRENCHMAN heading back to his car parked in the street had the vehicle blow up in his face when he used his electronic key to unlock the doors at a distance, paramedics said.
The explosion was apparently caused by a spark from the security system igniting gas cylinders the man had in his boot, one of which apparently had a leak, they said.
The middle-aged man was taken to hospital with face injuries. His car was destroyed by the blast.

Hmm, there's something you don't see everyday.

Everyone within a 6 block radius surrendered immediately.

I never put gas cylinders in my boot. I carry a 38 snubby in my left boot.

I always pictured you as a Colt Mustang .380 type, just goes to show most internet assumptions are wrong.

War Eagle. I have two children who are Auburn grads and even though I am a life long Tide fan I had to pull for Auburn this year.
BCS = Broken Championship System.

I don't like 380 round. I have many autoloaders in 9mm and larger. But the 38 snubby was a gift many years ago. It is the only wheel gun I still own. I usually carry my Ruger P97DC in .45 ACP in a shoulder holster or small of the back clip holster, it's too big for my boot.

BCS = Broken Championship System. Boy, you got that right. It would really kill the fraudcasters to honestly admit that we have a fantastic team this year.
That said, I always am in fear and trembling whenever we face the Tide. There is never a "sure thing" in the Iron Bowl or any SEC matchup (unless you're playing Vandy).
FWIW, I grew up in Auburn.

Uncertainty is why they play the game. Auburn was destined this year and was totally screwed by BCS.

Yikes--Safety caution here when you exchange propane tanks for that gas grill. I'm always a little nervous when I haul a full one home. Usually make it a dedicated mission to take the empty one in & haul the full one home w/ no other stops along the way & immediately remove it from the car.

If it wasn't the car trunk, I imagine the guy would have been the victim of a momumental case of "hot foot".

Looks like one of those years when we Auburn grads can come out of the closet.
Imagine having gone to school in Auburn, as I did, when "Shug" Jordan was the coach and his secret weapon was punting on third down!

Shug was like Majors at Tennessee. Alabama fans loved Shug and Majors.
