I consider this more a casual conversation than a formal persuasive argument or debate. Thats why I generally dont care about using the best grammar. I see you think criticizing other peoples grammar makes you sound more intellectual so its fine if you want to do that since I would hate to damage your fragile ego.

I dont see us all as conservatives just because we are on freerepublic as you seem to think. I see it as a philosophy that our actions in Iraq go against. We dont need to vote on it just like we dont need to vote on whether or not slavery is in direct contrast to freedom. Thats just how it is.

The reasons for the problems being isolated are going to persist and grow. It makes sense for the majority group to not mind democracy while the minority acts more violent. Trying to appease both sides will lead to more violence and probably no successful solution.

"Im curious to see how you liberals that call yourselves conservatives will act when us conservatives are in a position that we supported Bush but everything he is doing in Iraq is going to fail."

When I use this sentence I am talking to two different groups. The liberals who call themselves conservatives and the conservatives who are conservatives. Real conservatives are getting the shaft these days because some kind of compromise has pulled many republicans too far to the left.

I would like the focus of politics be more domestic than international. I want to hear about tax reform, spending cuts, privatization, deregulation, gun ownership rights, criminal justice, etc. rather than the war in Iraq. As far as an Iraq policy I think we need to realize that hoping for democracy is too risky and we are the ones taking all the risk. I think if we leave now the country will plunge into civil war and thats just fine with me. We should just focus on taking out threats to us before they can materialize. We can leave and let the UN and the Euroweenies take over for all I care so long as we eliminate threats without concern for international opinion.

I consider this more a casual conversation than a formal persuasive argument or debate.

Then perhaps you are looking at it in the wrong light.

Thats why I generally dont care about using the best grammar.

Grammatical mistakes are one thing but you have a habit of posting in such a way that it is hard to understand what you are trying to say. Understand people will discard things like that. Time is short and there are so many people with well formed opinions that are able to communicate them effectively that you will never be able to reach any sort of audience.

I see you think criticizing other peoples grammar makes you sound more intellectual so its fine if you want to do that since I would hate to damage your fragile ego.

You do not bother to put your best effort forward and then get huffy when someone points it out. Like I said previously you will be discarded. You make little effort to persuade. May I ask how old you are?

I see it as a philosophy that our actions in Iraq go against.

Could you please lay that out a little more clearly? You do not define where you think our actions in Iraq go against conservatism. The Slavery allegory is weak because we actually did vote on it.

The reasons for the problems being isolated are going to persist and grow.

What problems? Where are they being isolated? Why should they persist?

. It makes sense for the majority group to not mind democracy while the minority acts more violent.

I have no idea what you are talking about. Are you referring to the late US election where we had a violate minority while the rest happily either took part in the electoral process or ignored the thing all together?

Trying to appease both sides will lead to more violence and probably no successful solution.

Once again name both sides, tell me what steps are being taken to appease both side and please explain why you think it won't work.

Real conservatives

Please define a "Real Conservative".

I want to hear about tax reform, spending cuts, privatization, deregulation, gun ownership rights, criminal justice, etc. rather than the war in Iraq.

And it just so happens that there have been a number of stories on such things since the November Second Election and prior.

As far as an Iraq policy I think we need to realize that hoping for democracy is too risky and we are the ones taking all the risk.

I think a number of dead Iraqi's who have been killed by terrorists because they were rebuilding their country would disagree with you.

I think if we leave now the country will plunge into civil war and thats just fine with me.

We should just focus on taking out threats to us before they can materialize.

Your two statements are contradictory. Which do you think is a bigger threat, a peaceful stable nation or one that is in the middle of a civil war?

We can leave and let the UN and the Euroweenies take over for all I care so long as we eliminate threats without concern for international opinion.

Once again a contradictory statement. As the UN and Europe are neither one our allies we should give them free rain to stir up even more trouble for us? That is creating threats not eliminating them.

Yeah, really.

Was I ever fooled. I thought a week or two after Dubya won,
they'd let up. But they seem to be out in force as much as ever!

I think ive managed to pique the interest of the most pompous people on freerepublic recently. The whole tactic of asking 10 questions for every statement I make is just to avoid reality. It like talking to a 3rd grade teacher with her teacher's edition text book and not much else going on upstairs.

If they are involved in a civil war then we are safer than if they were united and strong. The UN and the EU can have Iraq because without our money Iraq isnt very valuable anymore. There is the oil but since we arent going to take it I cant factor that in as a reason to keep Iraq for ourselves.
