Islamist Threat to Public Schools in Columbia, South Carolina? On January 6, 2004, Anti-CAIR published a Press Release concerning Minhaj Arastu, the lead contact for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) chapter in Columbia, South Carolina.
Why are we revisiting this issue? It’s the result of a complaint Anti-CAIR (ACAIR) received from the parent of an Irmo High School, Columbia, SC student. Why is Irmo High School important? …Mijhaj Arastu is the teacher the parent is concerned about.
In his capacity of teacher at Irmo High School, Mr. Arastu:
1. Required the students to create a pamphlet which would teach people about Islam.
2. Spent an inordinate amount of time discussing the “5 pillars of Islam”.
3. Had an “Orthodox Christian” priest speak to the class…who informed the students that all religions are based on Islam.
4. Told students that the United States is a Judeo-Christian-Muslim” nation…according to the beliefs of the founding fathers.
5. According to the student, Arastu is a passionate Muslim and is the sponsor of the school Muslim student group and was instrumental in having a portion of the school library set aside for Muslim students to pray each day. (There are no such accommodations for other faiths.)
So…we have a CAIR officer, sponsoring the school’s Muslim student group, bringing in speakers who falsely claim that the founding fathers desired the fledgling United States to be a “Judeo-Christian-Muslim nation”…requiring students to create Muslim pamphlets…learning about the five pillars of Islam…
Just when do we Americans wake up to the threat of militant Islam in our public schools? When is “enough…enough”? What will it take to get parents, teachers, administrators, and the public incensed to the point where positive steps are taken to protect our children from the false indoctrination and perversions of radical Islamists?
We saw with our own eyes the evil of radical Islam on 9-11…we’re seeing militant Islam rear its filthy head in Europe on an almost daily basis…our soldiers are returning to our country in body bags as the result of militant Islamists hell-bent on earning a place in paradise by killing “infidels”…just why do we put up with militant Islam in the United States? At what point will the straw break…and what will happen when it does?
We invite our readers to read an excellent article by Dr. Daniel Pipes on the issue of Islamist influence in the public schools.The gist of Dr. Pipe’s article is that Islamists are deliberately targeting our school systems in an attempt to spread propaganda to students in the tenets of Islam.

Thanks for the info. I tried "islamic finder" and, even though I live in a medium-sized city, there are 7 Islamic organizations/businesses. I tried the largest city in our State and there are LOTS of them there.
I had heard prison is a place where many are converted. Don't know what we can do about that. I suppose it is easy to "prey" on people in that kind of circumstance.
These Islamic Organizations started spreading in USA since 1994. And now, they are all over the US map,even in small towns. Truely depressing....
I hope Pres.Bush's administration realizes how fast America's "landscape" is changing with the arrival of these Islamic Organizations and Mosques into USA. Now they have reached a point where they have a civil liberties organization aka "under the hood Islamic terrorism supporters" called CAIR.
I cannot comprehend what will befall America and Americans if these terrorist cults spread like this in USA.
You have done America a real service in posting the ANTI-CAIR article to begin with and then in persevering in your posts and encouraging the rest of us to do something about it. I plan to followup on this subject. I have already written to talk show hosts; whether those gentlemen will research this matter and do stories on it time will tell. Now I plan to write to politicians, check out schools and their curriculums, pay attention to ANTI-CAIR and CAIR, etc. I agree with you---this is a great danger. One of the greatest dangers of the Islamists are the Wahhabi schools where they convert more and more young people year after year to terrorism and fascist ideology.

Just look at Middle East Asia all the way upto China and Russian Balkans, you will see that the majority of the suicide Bombers are typically in the age range of 14-31. People in this age range are most vulnerable to Islamic indoctrination by organisations like Islamic Jihad, Lashkar-E-Toiba, Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade, Hamas....the list of these Islamic terrorists goes on on on.... To you guys in USA, CAIR, Muslim Students Organization and American Islamic Organization are openly known to support Hamas, Al-Aqsa Martyrs' brigade, Islamic Jihad etc in the disguise of Muslim Charity.(Note deceiving non-Muslims or its governments is NOT a sin in Islam). When law enforcement catches them, they will deny their involvement either directly or indirectly or knowingly or unknowingly in any violent terrorist activities or terrorist organisations. It is a pattern of these people through out the world. For example, it is easy to make a person of Middle Eastern Asian origin of age range 14-31 to convince that he/she must die for allah by killing as many as possible "during marriage" aka during suicide bombing. I do not think American children are any different than Indian children interms of their cognizant maturity levels, and hence are very much vulnerable to islamic indoctrination and later become victims of such Islamic indoctrination.
So the point is, if these Islamist psychos start indoctrinating kids from early on in their teenage years with the crap about "Islam being peaceful", a typical 14-20 year old is strongly prone to believe in it. Once this happens, these same people will end up becoming suicide bombers. This is exactly what is going on in our part of the world.
All I can hope and pray is that may your country and its people not experience these Islamic suicide bombings. Once you experience one of these suicide bombings and survive, your whole WORLD and LIFE WILL CHANGE FOREVER. IT IS THE WORST PAINFUL PSYCHOLOGICAL TRAUMA.
By the way, when a Muslim is talking to another Muslim and says anything about "marriage", exert extreme caution. It usually means there will be an imminent Islamic terrorist attack aka Jihad waiting to happen. Now don't tell me you were not told!

Muslims Organize In The Midlands

A new Muslim group in Columbia hopes you'll begin to refer to Judeo-Christian values as Judeo-Christian-Islamic values.
The local chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) organized last month in the Midlands. Director Minhaj Arastu, a history teacher at Irmo High School, says among the group's goals is improving the image of Muslims. For example, Arastu says values shared with Christians and Jews should be referred to as, "Judeo-Christian-Islamic" values.
"Islam shares a Biblical heritage with Jews and Christians, and so when we talk about the value of life, or family values, we can talk about them as being Judeo-Christian-Islamic," Arastu told 89.7 WMHK.
Dr. Warren Larson, the Director of Muslim Studies at Columbia International University agrees there are some shared values, but there are stark differences, especially when it comes to marriage.
"According to the Koran, you can have up to four wives, if you can afford it," Larson said.
"I think another major difference would be in reference to how a woman is treated. In the Koran, it looks very much like you are allowed to beat your wife, and that is certainly not true of Christianity."
Arastu says one of the first priorities of the Midlands chapter of CAIR is voter registration.

It sounds like you have had experiences with Islamists that I can't even imagine. You have communicated very well what you are facing over there and what we are facing more and more each day over here. Yes, American children would certainly be just as vulnerable to Islamic indoctrination as your children are. Your message is so clear and eloquent that I plan to save it and send it to others in the US to tell them, in your words, of the danger. I hope this will be alright with you.

The protest idea is a great one. You should try to get news coverage.
No problem. Send it to as many people as you can. We need to educate people before they are misled by this violent cult. This will make innocent people to be better prepared and not be misled by these Islamic terrorists and their proponent CAIR, MSA, American Muslim Association etc
We are fighting a good battle...it is the battle of all the civilized people against the barbarism called Islam and its violence against non-Muslims. Every sane person has a burden to fight in this by contributing in any form that can help this civilized fight againts Islamic violence. And ofcourse, our fight against Islam is not a violent one but a battle of spreading what is accurate about Islam- both historically and according to Quran.
