One last teensie weensie update. An attorney friend called the attorney for the school district today and had a conversation that went something like (not verbatim):

AttorneyFriend: I understand that you allowed this Muslim teacher to promote his religion in your school. I represent the [blank] Christian group and wanted to express to you how much we appreciate your open mindedness about presenting different religions. We would like to do the same thing and I'm contacting you to find out how to set this up.

Attorney for school: Look, this thing created a firestorm and we want no part of it. The guy is gone and I gotta go. {click}

Sunlight is such a great disinfectant! Add Son light, and it's all powerful!

Thanks for all the info (#63) especially the Pipes article,

Excellent approach by your attorney (probably your idea). Interesting reaction by the school district. Appreciate all the time, effort and thought you have devoted to this important matter. Best wishes and Merry Christmas.

I'll post that snippet of Oxen in Fla's info from the " Holiday Tree Removed From Federal Courthouse" thread here, too:
'Howard Simon, Executive Director of the ACLU of Florida, said the decision should send a message to other U.S. school districts that were considering adopting the New Testament curriculum. He also said the ACLU would monitor and videotape the Old Testament classes.

  • "If we find that these so-called history classes remain disguised religion classes,
  • or that they are not taught in an objective manner,
  • or that they are an attempt to indoctrinate students with a particular religious point of view,

then we will be back before Judge Kovachevich with the videotapes and other evidence," Simon said.

Kovachevich said she expected the ACLU to monitor and videotape the classes and return to her court if it was dissatisfied with the courses.'

Anyone who thinks we are not at war is seriously deluded.

Thanks for the info, Cyn and OXEN.

We have been discussing inexpensive ways to fast track kids through high school to avoid the liberal agenda:

The thread title was not well thought out, because some parents might instinctively skip over it due to attached stigma, whether real or imagined.

Hate to tell you but in South Carolina where I live ---- Just because you take your child out of Public School doesn't mean the state system loses one penny. To top things off I just found out this week that Independent or Private Schools are totally unregulated - any piece of Garbage Mosque can start a mooooslem school and never once be checked.
I am working on writing and presenting a bill that will close this gap and fast -- well 2 years or so.
Welcome to the crap Islam causes us all to have to defeat.

Hey Former,
I am trying to allow for more oversight of Independent Schools and would like your help. Can you imagine right here in Columbia S C there is a mosque that is run by a whabbi moslem named Mohammad Adly and he is a terrorist.
I personally helped run Minhaj Arastu out of Irmo High school. He is gone and I also spoke to the library and have it on mp3 she admitted to me she allowed the library to be used as a prayer room and she says anyone can use them she was nervous but that's what she said. Also the premier spokes man buddy something smith I think said the library was never use as for prayer by muslims. Well he will soon find out different.
Regards,
Rice
