We used to go see the Christmas tree, the state trees, bondfire, and reindeer every year on the Elipse in Washington D.C.
Then some animal rights activists made a stink and they took the reindeer away.
Bush should return the reindeer. They were very happy eating their hay and running around in the huge pen.
What was the complaint about the reindeer?
Remember to cut the meat across the grain, then tenderize it
by pounding with the edge of a plate. It can be soaked in
Yoghurt also, dredge in pancake flour and fry in peanut oil.
I forget the details, but to my best recollection, animal rights activists claimed the reindeer weren't happy being fenced in and watched by people.
Actually, the enclosure was very big and the reindeer looked just fine.

Well, that's all right for the animal rights activists that get bagged, but when it comes to reindeer, the best bet is some good air drying. Then, when it's time to eat, heat up your tea and dunk away. Top it off with some tasty flakes of feeze dried, and smoked, salmon too!
I'd be happy if Michael Moore were fenced in at Leavenworth.
"The road to hel is paved with elipses."
"animal rights activists claimed the reindeer weren't happy being fenced in and watched by people."
LOL. What did it give them complex or something?
Be sure to use a tough one, stoneware or hard plastic, or a
meat tenderizer/hammer but get one that has blades instead of points(find them in antique stores or thrift shops). The pancake flour is high in sugar so it will
brown much faster, keeps from over cooking the meat.
I think the issue was that reindeer carry a disease dangerous to other hooved animals (I forget which disease), so they can't be transported across state lines. Since there are no reindeer in DC, no more display until the ban is lifted.
Thanks!
Maybe it is this type of Brucellosis

American Bison have this, too.
