An Arnold/Tom ticket could be what is needed to unite the CA GOP.
Agreed. :)
Screw that POS Arnold!
And GWB coming to the state to campaign for them both.
There is no "ticket." Lieutenant governor is a distinct office, elected separately from the governor. Often, it has been held by a member of the party opposite of the party of the governor. This was the case in the late 70s/early 80s with Gov. "Moonbeam" Jerry Brown and Lt. Gov. Mike Curb.
As an outside observer, I REALLY like the idea of a Schwarzeneggar/McClintock ticket. It seems as though the CA GOP is divided into two camps . . .the conservative and the moderates. Instead of running against each other in primaries, this would be a welcomed change of teaming up and beating the Dems and getting both camps into office. Fight it out behind closed doors, but be unified in the public eye. That is the only way the CA GOP can come back to its old prominence!
