There is no "ticket." Lieutenant governor is a distinct office, elected separately from the governor. Often, it has been held by a member of the party opposite of the party of the governor. This was the case in the late 70s/early 80s with Gov. "Moonbeam" Jerry Brown and Lt. Gov. Mike Curb.

Curb was Lt. Gov. under Reagan and was the one that signed the withholding bill into law when Reagan was out of state for 2 days.
