CA Lt Governor Poll Shows McClintock's Strength
Val Smith, PhD, Polling Specialist | November 10, 2004 | Igor Birman

I would like to share with you the results of a statewide survey that made me very optimistic about us taking the Lt. Governor's office in 2006.

As you may know, Senator Tom McClintock has recently announced his candidacy for Lt. Governor. According to the poll summary, below, Senator McClintock represents our best chance of putting a Republican into this crucial statewide office.

In fact, at this early stage Tom McClintock already wields widespread statewide name ID as well as formidable leads over potential challengers.

Feel free to share this with others!

Awesome. Maybe then we can start seeing some fiscal responsibility in our leadership.

An Arnold/Tom ticket could be what is needed to unite the CA GOP.

I was hoping he would run for Feinswein's Senate seat.

Michael Carona? Who in the world is that? I follow California politics, he must be truly an obscure figure.

Carona is the Sheriff of Orange County, reportedly with statewide ambitions.

If the state GOP had any sense {snicker}, they'd better fund McClintock's campaign like they backed loser-RINO Bruce McPherson in his run for that seat.

McClintock would be clobbered by Feinstein and even if she retires, McClintock does not want to go to Washington DC.

Arnold can do something right for a change in '06 -- win relection by a landslide and bring along McClintock as the next Lt. Governor with his coattails. And if that happens, McClintock is the prohibitive. favorite to become governor in 2010
