No, he's better at LG because then he is the frontrunner to succed Arnold.

McClintock would be clobbered by Feinstein and even if she retires, McClintock does not want to go to Washington DC.

Arnold can do something right for a change in '06 -- win relection by a landslide and bring along McClintock as the next Lt. Governor with his coattails. And if that happens, McClintock is the prohibitive. favorite to become governor in 2010

I heard McClintock speaking on the radio once. He says he has no interest in going to Washington. He wants to stay in California.

By being elected the Lt. Governor McClintock sets himself up as the prime candidate to follow Arnold into the governor's mansion.
