According to TotalRock.com, former IRON MAIDEN frontman Paul Di'Anno was attacked during his show in Tel Aviv, Israel on Friday (Dec. 10). A crazed fan apparently got onstage, and lashed out at the shaken singer. Fortunately, Di'Anno suffering only minor injuries, and was able to finish the gig.
Di'Anno performed in Israel as part of the Heavy Metal Monsters melodic metal festival, which is scheduled to conclude tonight (Dec. 11) in Haifa, Israel.
Di'Anno is reportedly playing a very long set consisting of 70 percent IRON MAIDEN songs and 30 percent his own material.
Rita's voice is "different", how would you describe it ?
Agreed, Iron Maiden's first album with Paul is the best. imho
I like the epics like "Rime of the Ancient Mariner" and "Alexander the Great" - they were almost like Maiden trying to go prog. The song "Rainmaker" on Dance of Death is good, too. Powerslave was their best album - I used to listen to that for hours on end.
well yes and no.. otherwise these types of things against the artists would be more widespread.. if you want to look at marketing chaos, look towards rap and the violence that is almost mandatory at their shows.
I thought Bruce Dickenson was the frontman for Iron Maiden?
There's actually very little chaos on or behind the stage. If Paul learned anything from his stint with Maiden it's professionalism, Maiden is generally the most well rehearsed band in rock and roll, playing they're most complicated songs with their trademark harmonized guitar sound and still finding a way to make it sound spontaneous. What they're selling is energy, not chaos.
these attacks aren't just happening in the music industry.
stefi graff stabed at court side, those 2 drunken idiot father and son attacking a 1st base coach, and lets not even talk about basketballs latest little house party.
what is unique is that the attacks are blatent and right out in the open, i guess people without talent looking for THEIR 15 minutes.
Life just isn't fair!
It happens everywhere, it is very unusual to have two cases this close together.
