Yes Target is owned by Dayton-Hudson here in Minnesota.

Actually it's flip-flopped (in name only) Target Corp owns Daytin Hudson and, until recently, Marshall Fields.

Oh, by the way - The 'Dayton' in that 'Dayton-Husdon' is the same family that has produced our embarrassing Minnesota US Senator, Mark (Run Away! Run way!) Dayton. Target has also Banned the Salvation Army, so you may want to boycott them anyways - even though they aren't French.
