London, IRNA - A fresh initiative was launched Thursday to develop a new relationship between the West and Islam based upon 'mutual listening' at all levels.
"There are many in Europe and US, ex-diplomats, ex-military and those from my background, who are very concerned at the increasing and worsening estrangement between the West and Islam," former British MI6 intelligence agent, Alastair Crooke said.
"Many in both are societies are quite angry at what it is doing to our societies and the damage being done to worsen the circumstances of Muslims everywhere," Crooke said, who also referred to the deterioration in the life of British Muslims.
The initiative was launched at the Frontline Club for journalists in London by the UK-based independent multinational Conflict Forum, which has been set up to promote rapprochement with the Muslim world.
Crooke, a director and founding member of the forum, said that it was extremely important to make clear that the differences between the West and Islam "have nothing to do with differences over values but were differences over policies."
"Muslim values in no way threaten our societies. On all strategic Western values, elections, popular participation in governance and in the wish for effective and incorrupt governance, Muslims overwhelmingly share these values," he said.

I'll tellya what, when Muslims renounce Islam, then I will take another look at them.
=====
But they are allowed to do precisely that... if such renouncing serves to further their ultimate goal of Islamocizing the entire world !!!
I will NEVER believe ANYTHING espoused by a Muzzle-em. Period, end of argument !!!

I concur with you completely.
To think that Islam is a peaceful and non-threatening civilization flies directly into the face of reality that has been validated since Muhammad and Abu Bakr.
The Ottomans did not get to the walls of Vienna on a Sunday jaunt. They left pillage, rape and destruction in their wake; and gave no quarter to the Christians and Jews in the Balkans.
We are at the very beginning of a sustained and no-holds-barred struggle for the very survival of Western Democracy. for all practical purposes, Europe is lost (Leicester, England is majority Muslim as I type this -- and Sweden will be likewise within 20 years).
The Islamic incursion is a dire threat to the United States and North America -- and must be recognized as such. WW-IV is now ongoing!! Fasten your children's seatbelts. they will be meeting the challenge head-on!

Somehow - take away their oil and oil money. Oil changed fanatical islam from a desert campfire into a global wildfire, with worse probably to come.

I'm still waiting for the muslim people and their clerics to condemn terrorism on a regular basis or even on an irregular basis, or even at all.

Prophet of Doom - Islams Terrorist Dogma, In Muhammads Own Words
Islam is a caustic blend of regurgitated paganism and twisted Bible stories.
Muhammad, its lone prophet, conceived his religion solely to satiate his lust for power, sex, and money.
He was a terrorist.
And if you think these conclusions are shocking, wait until you see the evidence at www.prophetofdoom.net.

Yes, very interesting:
"the Frontline Club for journalists in London by the UK-based independent multinational Conflict Forum, which has been set up to promote rapprochement with the Muslim world."
Now there is a group I'd really want to look into, might even want to donate, might participate, might throw up lunch....

Presenting a US perspective, American intelligence and foreign affairs analyst, Mark Perry said that the characterization of overwhelming or ignorant support in the US of the Bush administration's Middle East programme was "only partly correct."
So according to Mr. Perry, supporting the Bush administration is ignorant? Do you support the Bush administration, or are you gone again?

SIGH!!; -- AFTER 9/11, & a MILLENIUM of "Bad Behavior;" "The West" has LITTLE REASON to EVER trust "Islam!"
Most of Us--In the West--FULLY EXPECT that the "Islamic Whackjobs" will attempt to "NUKE" us.
There Exists a "Legitimate" Group of "Westerners" FULLY CAPABLE of RETALIATING to a Major "Terrorist Strike" "In the West," by ANNIHILATING "MECCA, MEDINA, & Qom," (& Others!) Those who Believe that "Islam" represents the "Sole Belief System" of the Human Race are Woefully Ignorant.
HUMANS are FAR BETTER than the Twisted Fantasies of "Islam, Judaism, Bhuddism, Hinduism, Christianity, or Any of a Myriad of Other --"Ism's!!"

(A fresh initiative was launched Thursday to develop a new relationship between the West and Islam based upon 'mutual listening' at all levels.)
Why don't we EVER hear of a need to develop a special relationship between the West and Hinduism or Budhism - the problem is that Islam just cannot co-exist with anyone else - we have had this problem in India for a thousand years - and its not going to go away.
