This X-ray picture shows a 5-centimeter nail stuck in an unidentified South Korean patient's skull Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004. According to a Seoul hospital, doctors found the nail after the man came to the hospital, complaining about a severe headache. They speculate that the nail stuck in the man's head four years ago in an accident but the man didn't know about it. The nail was removed in a surgery last Saturday. (AP Photo/Yonhap).

How could he NOT know that he has a nail in his head? How could Michael Moore not know he is making life worse for people living under radical Islam? How could Bill Clinton not know he was defiling the office of the Presedent? Sometimes the only explanation is sheer utter stupidity.

How could he NOT know that he has a nail in his head? He vaguely recalls going into a bar and ordering a rusty nail and remembering that the drink had one HELL of a kick.

How could he not know?? I can tell you from experience. Several years ago a kid shot me in the top of the head with a high powered BB gun.
I was in my backyard bending over to pick soemthing up and the little bastard shot me!! You can imagine my anger. I bled for a while but didn't think anything more until I started getting sick. I was having choking like symptoms, couldn't swallow, just weird stuff for about six months. Then one day I was scratching my head and felt a bump, you guessed it, the BB. I removed it and the sickness ended.
So...to answer your question, you don't ALWAYS know.

What I`d like to know is how the nail got in his head in the first place! I mean was he taking a nap and someone decided to hammer it into his head? "Ouch! Why are you hammering my head? You woke me up!"

That must've been one heck of a binge four years ago.
Cheap booze, an expense account, and a nail gun. Recipe for a funny news item 4 years later. (Funny to everyone else in the world except the nailee, that is.)

Had to have been caused by a nail gun; they do set the head in pine and I would imagine in skin as well.

This whole thing could have been avoided if he'd simply learn to stay away from X-ray machines. It must have been a real hoot when they put him into the MRI and turned the switch.

I hope you did a "Bud White" on him...Slammed his head into a toilet bowl then hung his ass outside the window of a high-rise.

The brain itself does not feel pain and the frontal lobe is not critical to functioning. Probably under the skin and when it happened he just thought it was a small wound. It healed over and the rest is history.
My son got shot with a BB gun in his upper lip when he was about 7 or 8 yrs old. I felt the wound carefully and could feel nothing there. Assumed it had bounced off. Didn't realize it was still there until it worked its way back to the inside of his lip some 5 years later. Had to operate to remove it.

But the poor chap had a severe headache. Slightly delayed though.

It may have sounded like this:
I really do not know Doc. The last thing I remember it telling the bartender: "You call this a 'Rusty Nail'? I have tasted drinks than this at a cheap New Orleans Whore House."

This is exactly why I'm afraid to have my head examined!Well, if you have any doubt you should have your head examined.

You guys are freaking me out! When I was in 3rd grade, a kid grabbed me from behind and shot a BB gun into my eye at point-blank range. I got really lucky in that it injured my eye but didn't blind me or have any long-term effects.
Now I'm sitting here thinking "what happened to the BB?" It can't possibly have entered my EYE and stayed in...could it? It never dawned on me until now that the BB could have done anything but bounced off!
