There is a 'battle royale' within CBS over whether or not to release the full text of the upcoming Memogate report, Rather Biased.com can reveal.
Many higher ups in the network do not it want released to the public in its entirety..
It must say "Dan Rather is not a God..."
I say let the whole thing out, and let the chips fall where they may. Heyward should have been gone long ago. Read BIAS by Bernard Goldberg. He admitted a leftward bias in his newsroom YEARS ago.
If they don't release it, there will be a mighty backlash. That's a sure thing.

Doesn't Dick Thornburg decide whether the report goes out in full?
Clinton will be called in for the cover up.
"Many higher ups in the network do not it want released to the public in its entirety."
Censorship? A coverup? Now that it is known that the report is damaging and that CBS has even considered hiding it, the damage is done. As a last, desperate resort, CBS should try candor and full disclosure. But why start now?
Any sensible human would choose option A. Therefore, the suits at CBS are likely to choose option B.
Congressman Billybob
Just the fact that this happened, and that there is now a battle over telling the public what really happened, shows me that CBS is a worthless scumbag organization.
Has CBS announced when this thing is supposed to be made public?
They want to lie about their previous lies. Suppose they might lie ?
Oh yeah, meanwhile if the Bush administration did something like this, the incredibly biased 60 Minutes and/or CBS Evening News would be screaming about "what do they have to hide?!" and would send one of their leftist investigative journalists to do an anal probe of the Bush administration. You've just gotta chuckle and these DemoCRITE clowns and their utter hypocrisy.
It isn't about whether or not they are biased, it is that they (attempt) to give the impression that they are unbiased. Rush, Hannity, etc. are who they are. No HIDDEN agenda. That is why they attract not only conservatives, but libs as well. People may not like what you have to say, but they will respect your honesty. Deceive them and there will be wrath, whether they share your political views or not.
If CBS doesn't release the full report, maybe we'll need an investigation into the cover-up of the investigation of the original cover-up.
Releasing the report might confirm there was a politically motivated attack on Bush.
Not releasing the report will confirm there was a politically motivated attack on Bush beyond all reasonable doubt.
I bet Howie Kurtz at the Washington Post would love it if CBS held back on the full report. It would give him the chance to break the story.
Clearly this does not apply to us little people. The ones who suffer the consequences of a biased corrupt media.
