Democratic soul-searching

The Democratic governors were in town the other day to talk about why Democrats keep losing presidential elections and what can be done to stop their party's political erosion.

    Ironically, one of their complaints was that their party has become too Washington-fixated, though this is where they decided to hold their daylong strategy sessions. But this is where the national news media is, and they were looking for some attention and knew they wouldn't get it if they met in Altoona or Cleveland.

    Even so, many of them, from New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson to Gov. Edward G. Rendell of Pennsylvania, complained that their party's leadership has become trapped in a Washington mindset and culture that has lost touch with its base in the real world. Mr. Rendell said party leaders even talk in a kind of "Washingtonese" that few Democrats at the local and state levels understand, and that does not connect with the bedrock values of ordinary people.

    Others, such as Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm, want a new party spokesperson who can talk about such subjects as faith and values. Some said they want a party agenda that is "more centrist" and, thus, much less liberal.

Dems talk to themselves in a echo-chamber. Their arguments resonate with each other...so they convince themselves that they must be right. Why break up their whiny little pity party? On the one hand they bitch and moan about how the Repubos cut taxes for the rich, and on the other hand they take millions from capitalists like Soros and millions from the Hollywood smut industry; they claim to speak for "oppressed minorities" yet they express disdain for minority figures who have excelled (in spite of having to shoulder the label of "victim" foisted upon them by RATs) like Justice Thomas, like Condi Rice, like Colin Powell. And who do they elevate to leadership positions in Congress? That lunatic Nancy Pelosi and now the Senator from the Asylum, Harry Reid. What do you call RATs moving to the center? Lying scumbag commie vermin.

What they mean is, "Let's try to fool the great unwashed red-staters by making it appear we really are moderates. Then, once we get back to power, we'll forward the Communist Agenda once again." Right. Like all rational adults in the US want unlimited baby killing, faggot marriage pushed up our...., a total ban on the means of self defense, a 90% tax rate, a completely open southern border, legal documents (driver's licenses for thieves from Mexico) granted to those who break the laws, a completely destroyed military structure, the transfer of national sovereignty to the UN, enviro-nut laws that hamstring the US economy so that it falls into a permanent recession, a Supreme Court (and a Federal Judiciary) that interprets the Constitution as a "living document", hate crime laws that make owning a Bible a crime, a public school system that teachs the joys of Islam and oral sex (what a juxtaposition!), while failing to teach basic reading, science and math skills. No, what the RATs want is a society made up of victims, losers, whiners, sociopaths, junkies, a sheep - all under the control of the ruling elite - them and guys like Michael Moore.

You hit this one, spot on. I was discussing this with my buddy at work yesterday, he's the only teacher at my school with whom I can identify. He's a retired Airborne Ranger with twelve years in a ranger battalion. Anyway, we heard that Dean has suggested that the RATS not cede the south or the far west to the 'pubbies. That they should aggressively court the south and west. We agree, bring it on! C'mon down heah and tell us GOD FEARIN' folks how you want to abort our youngin's as they're still being birthed and wanna take ALL our guns away and allow the homosexuals to deny the word of God and marry each other and then adopt a child...why SURE that'll fly just fine in these parts!

The RATs know very well "who they are"; they are just in a psycho-pathological sense of denial about it. The one thing that I think has fueled the RAT party shift to the left over the last 40 years is massive drug use. They suffer from drug-induced delusional thinking. (Think about old bug eyes, Nancy Pelosi) Its the old mantra of "If I thought of it, it must be true." Consequently, they cling to the insanity that "Communism will work if its done right." They refuse to see that it has been done right and that it is a dismal and total failure. And on the road to failure not one communist society has failed to murder a large percentage of its own citizens in a futile attempt to "get it right." They cannot see what is before their very eyes: today's "living laboratory" of Marxian Paradise: Zimbabwe.
