There all a bunch of liberals enjoying a sporting debate of Lenin's road to utopia.

Since this was probably done in the 30's....what is your definition of liberal?Well, considering it's a Gibbson drawing I'd say more like 1890-1910ish. In re: to "definition of liberal" it's the one true defination of a liberal -- the Freeper defination!

Ahh, I always get my dates wrong....but a liberal back then was different than a liberal today. If this group was gathered today, I would not be able to guess the liberal until I knew what was being discussed.

The 'liberal' is the wild-haired fellow in the foreground who, secretly being an anarchist and a member of Industrial Workers of the World, is reaching back underneath his tails and cummerbund for a dynamite bomb that will violently process the bourgeois scum before him into bits of savory steak tartar flung about the dining hall at the speed of three hundred meters per second.
Sorry. I forgot to take my Ritalin today.

If the sketch is one of celebrating Christmas, I would say the scrooge with the sour puss on his face, is the Democrate.
