A friend of mine wrote that he had just written the editor of his local paper which had also used the cartoon. He and his wife were so upset over this since their son is in Iraq right now. I was upset myself that the newspapers in this country would find humor in this kind of illustration. His newspaper is the Statesville Record and Landmark in Statesville, NC. Did anyone else see this cartoon? If you did, can you scan it and post it for me. I haven't seen it and want to. I am so mad about this.

Is this the one?

A paper or editor can regret being rude, tastless, edgy, controversial, insensitive, but this is the kind of thing that gets buildings burned. Do these editors also have a habit of spitting on babies in front of their mothers, and kicking over motorcycles at biker rallies?

The Democrats are the America-haters and their limits have no bounds.
Fear not, this is why they won't regain national power anytime soon.

If you have done much browsing of editorial cartoons over the past 3-4 years, you know that MOST of them anymore are disrespectful and tasteless, not to mention downright hateful. You really have to search out the good ones.

I saw it the other day & was disgusted. I run the Today's Toons thread here on FR & obviously I didn't include it.

I agree. It's so sick that our local paper news editor said he'd run it again in the paper if he could claiming that it wasn't the "intent" to offend anyone. It's all about intentions with the rat scum.
