He cheated death 2 times already but doesn't look like a third reprieve is likely.

He will be missed.

Although I don't listen to talk radio and have never heard David Brudnoy, I have certainly heard of him. This is sad news indeed. MY prayers go out to him and his family.

The classiest radio presence I've ever heard. Erudite, polite, clearheaded. A libertarian if I am not mistaken.

Due to schedules, I have not been able to listen to Brudnoy for a very long time.

David is one of (if not the) the most intelligent commentators that I have personally ever heard in the media.

When I lived in Rhode Island I'd listen to both David and Larry Glick. Larry Glick made me laugh and David made me think.

Prayers for David.

In the winter, when the sun goes down sooner, he could be heard in 48 states on the clear channel WBZ radio, 1030 AM. He has been on 7:00 to 10:00 ET. When I was camping in Montana I could tune him in on my radio and hear the Boston sports scores.

I will miss him because he always was a real person on the other side of the radio. One knew he was true to his thinking and his words. He respected others, had conversations and debates as part of his program.

10-years ago I talked to David, a mere skeleton of a man, fighting back from death by full-blown AIDS.

How did he contract AIDS ?

Brudnoy, in a photo from an article published in February. God be with him.

Brudnoy was a libertarian long before it was fashionable to question the extent of government power. I didn't always agree with him, but he did make me and others think. Of all the talk show hosts, he and Barry Farber were just about the most courteous and responsible. He helped to take talk radio out of the age of the ranters and make it respectable. He didn't keep pace with the development of the medium in recent years, but that's understandable given the decline in his health. I haven't heard Brudnoy's show in years, but he also has done plenty of movie reviews.

May the Good Lord bless him.

I used to listen to him before HIV took its toll. A smart guy with principles and though we had different views in certain areas, I considered him an honest guy and a gentleman.

This makes me so sad. David Brudniy has one of the most beautiful speaking voices. He was perhaps the talk radio personality I could identify by his voice. He was rational, intelligent. I could get lulled into a semi-hypnotic trance listening to his lilting voice, and still learn something.

What a class act...

I was able to listen to him once in a while at night in the car radio here in Penna. He is a true gentleman.

To those who cry "Die already" and "he gets what he deserves", I am truly impressed by how Christ-like you are. I am pretty sure that Jesus might do you one better and spit on Mr. Brudnoy or smother him with a pillow on his deathbed. In fact, I do believe that there is a passage in the Bible which states: "It's OK to beat queers to death; they're not human being's anyway." Wow, I hope you’re not around on my deathbed if I get lung cancer from my misspent youth smoking cigarettes. Will you blame and say it was my entire fault? Is the concept of compassion beyond you?

These homosexuals, I believe, had something terrible happen to them and this acting out is the result of it. Even if you despise what they do, you have to love them as people. Hate the sin, love the sinner. It takes a bigger person to love those who you disagree with than with one you agree. Remember Jesus came for the lowly, not for the mighty. His followers were prostitutes, tax collectors and in the case of Paul, a soldier who persecuted the Christians. As long as the mustard seed finds fertile soil, the plant can go. When you turn people away because they are not as ‘enlightened’ as you are, you are acting like a Pharisee.

I have listened to Mr. Brudnoy since he started broadcasting on WBZ. He is an erudite man who is level headed and well reasoned with common sense. He is the anti-poster boy for the homosexual agenda. From everything I have ever heard, he rejects the gay movement with every fiber of his being. A large portion of you have condemned him without hearing him speak. You do not know the man; you know only an aspect of him yet, you condemn him freely. You are just as bad as any liberal who condemns someone for being conservative.

You have eyes, but you do not see. You have ears, but you do not ear. You have brain, but do not think.

Go in Christ. Flame away.

How very sad. We had the pleasure of hearing his show, especially on our drives to visit relatives in the Boston area. His presence will be sorely missed. My prayers go out to him and his family.

I wonder how he came to contract AIDs and did he pass this along to others?

Being an atheist the poor person has nothing to look forward to but an agonizing death.
