"this comprehensive study is not to contest the results of the 2004 election, but to help ensure that every eligible vote cast is truly counted."
That must also mean the dead constituency votes must be counted also. I truly believe this guy doesn't understand what a provisional ballot is. (Al Gore, another fine mess you've gotten us into!).

I wonder what McAuliffe would say if the Republicans agreed to a recount and stipulated that the entire list of registered voters in Cuyahoga County be compared to the list of those who voted.

Gotta love the Dems. They can't stop themselves from implying that the election was "stolen" when what is really the case is that, no matter how hard they tried, they just couldn't drum up enough votes from dead people and multiple voters to steal the election themselves.

Why doesn't the DNC investigate how they could have fallen for such a pathetic candidate in the form of John Kerry and while they are at it, look into how Mikey Moore and the rest of the ultra liberal class hijacked the party this election cycle. That is the investigation that they need to undertake, not some BS that is designed to put up this facade of "we are going down fighting" so the bloggers at DU can be happy.

What they are trying to do is stir up people and make them turn out as kool-aid drinking voters in 2008.

It's scary to see how obsessed they are with votes exceeding 100,000. I would dread the thought if it was closer.

Getting more than sick of this. Again, doing nothing but attemtping to taint the winner of this election. It worked four years ago; so I guess we are now to expect this 'winning formulized behavior'.
Think it is time for Repubs to hit back with the same. Investigate the 'blue' states; 'blue' counties; where the Demrats won. Challenge the results and begin recounts.
Or. . .at least offer the possibilities and imply that these 'winners' may be really losers; after all.

This is no joke. Their long-term strategy is to codify Democratic Voter Fraud into law by making sure:
1. NO observers are permitted in heavily dem precincts.
2. NO dem "voters" are ever challenged.
3. NO standards of voter id or voter verification are appled to dem voters.
This is serious stuff. They are playing a political/legal chess-game with democracy in America, and we all stand to be the checkmated losers.
This is the biggest issue of the 21st century. The RATS are trying to set institutions in place that will allow them to rig elections.

I heard that lil terrie is asking O.J. to lend a hand in this investigation. He and terrie will be searching the golf courses around Cleveland for voter fraud.

Sitting on the outside & looking in, my guess is that this move is more about demonizing Ken Blackwell than it is about anything else. Blackwell is conservative, articulate and black...all of which makes him Ohio Public Enemy #1 to the DNC. In my estimation, Blackwell is destined for still greater things; I think the Dems also see this and are attempting a pre-emptive strike to keep the folks on the Dem plantation in the face of an obvious threat.
