ALL---I was planning to go to the Freeper Ball, but "life happens" and I can't go...
There are also many other Freepers that are looking for rooms and room mates to share the cost...so JimRob has agreed to let me post this thread for just this activity.
I HAVE A ROOM AVAILABLE...see below.
If you are interested, please Freepmail me and we'll work out the transfer to you. As you can see this room is actually a TWO BEDROOM Suite, two baths etc...locacted directly across from the RedLine Metro stop...about 6.2 miles from DC and easy to transfer etc to the Ball Site.
We can work out the details on the phone...

Sounds like you got the Penthouse Model, (Older Residence Inn's) Thats a party room, I know, I party.......
Nope, cant afford to go :-(
BTTTT
Does that mean you'll pay for this portion of the gig? I'll need more details - like that card's expiration date...
You really need that three-digit security code from the back of the card, for confirmation. Make sure to post it here.
Good proximity.
For general information there are much better rates as you move further out of the city, but still on the metro.
We were able to get a Club Level room at a Sheraton with 2 double beds for $200. ($50 per person.) Actually, we've booked 5 of those rooms. :-)
It is definitely possible to save on rooms, especially if you are willing to share.
Morning Bump..
And that number is...BRLFQ spels Mom and Dad...LOL
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Come on folks, let's get busy with ROOM "Sharing"...har har...
G
Evening BUMP
Don't get caught sleeping out on the steam table!
Rooms to share, rooms to share...no hot bunking allowed!
Don't roll over and go back to sleep!
G
Morning bump.
FYI ping.
OK...I was thinking I'd jump a JetBlue flight from Oakland to DC and split a room...but golly gee $309?!? The mind boggles!
I have some housing options in Alexandria VA. Can walk to the transit system...Sorry I don't know the region...Is this an option within reason?
Here's the link to Metro's Web page.
Morning Drango--don't let that rate scare you away, it's a double! See if there are a couple more FReepers who don't have a room yet...sharing is CARING!!
I've "heard stories" about the Mythical "Freeper Octet" room sharing from 2001!!
G
Jetblue has a major kewl rates. About $320 round trip and Mrs. Drango flys free! Still with the airfare, party tickets and room rate...thats a chunk of change. I'll play with it...
side note...Jetblue flys into Dulles...Is that even semi close to where I'm going? I guess I'd need a rental car. ~sigh
Octet huh?
You don't HAVE to rent a car, you can take a train from Dulles that will connect with the DC Metro. Dulles is 26 miles from DC by car.
Go to the website HERE and click on "Ground Transportation"...the DC Metro is spotlessly clean and very safe, I've used it when I've been to DC to get from Reagan to Bethesda, including a transfer...
