Ah, no problem. All this stuff does get me upset and I am an independent, so sometimes I go off when I shouldn't because I sort of hate both parties. I apologize to you. I don't support Bush, his wars or his foreign meddling. Putin is right to be angry. We would in the same position if dealing with a superpower trying to rule over the world an impose itself on everyone, their economy and their sovereignty. Vladdy's still mad about Kosovo, maybe even still mad that we helped the Taliban (who used to be our good buddies) beat them of out of Afghanistan. I never even knew why they invaded or if they had a valid reason to because the new-style "patriotism" demands you ask no questions, believe everything you hear and join the bandwagon. It's Orwellian, sorry.

If we value sovereignty, we should value others' right to theirs. This government has turned into an empire which demands the world's obedience to it's will, regardless of whether it's economic or other. or else.... I want a government that promotes peace, not war and squabbles with every nation that dares have a contrary opinion to the empire. It is Orwellian to say pre-emptive war is for peace when you have four or five nations in your sights. I do not believe any of the cover stories for the war and maintain at its heart is economics, as are most wars. Those of us who are attached to the Constitution feared that a terrorist attack would be used to erode our civil liberties, and it is happening. Many of those who felt the same way have decided to ignore what is happening because of partisanship. Had Clinton penned Patriot Act, what reception would it have here? If Clinton were gievn authority by Congress to declare war, what would the response be?
I know republicans and democrats spin, but this is all getting so out of hand. Bush isn't quite "uncle Adolph" nor are the democrats waiting for a chance to poison Bush. Bush could get shot in the head, come back to life and republicans wouldn't blink. Clinton could be indicted for international drug dealing and his people would insist he was framed. Partisanship is just that, and has nothing to do with truth. All we do is pick out our "leader" and fight to the death to prove he is never wrong.

Yeah, I know I'll get dogpiled for spilling my gutts here, called names, accused of being a follower of Mohammed, a liberal, or even a murderer. It only confirms what I believe. Republicans can say I "hate" America in response, but did republicans hate America when they opposed Bill Clinton's Kosovo invasion? As a Christian, I hate the sin and not the sinner, though sometimes it hard. As an American, I hate the actions of the government but it doesn't follow that I hate my country. I love it.

We all speak our mind here. I do disgree with much of what you said and there are plenty of valid reasons for our wars. It's all been posted here.

Clearly you have the choice not to accept them if you wish. Your rejection of them however, doesn't mean they aren't valid.

However, given that you jumped in on a converstation I was having with someone else and were pretty ugly to me for no reason and then this posted your long, drawn out and off topic rant, which ended like this.......

Yeah, I know I'll get dogpiled for spilling my gutts here, called names, accused of being a follower of Mohammed, a liberal, or even a murderer. It only confirms what I believe.

It sounds to me you are just looking for a fight.

Perhaps you should search your heart for your real motives?
