Law Of Nature Excludes Homosexuality, Says Australian Physician
Narth ^ | August 9, 2004 | Narth

August 9, 2004 - An Australian medical ethics expert told an audience at a marriage conference recently that homosexuals are excluding themselves from marriage and family by refusing to join the great "circle of life."

Dr. David van Gend told the audience, "By its very nature, homosexuality has excluded itself. It has stepped outside the circle of life--the timeless, endless natural circle of male and female, parent and offspring."

He notes that the origins of homosexual behavior are complex, but "whatever its origins, the outcome of homosexuality is best understood as a very complex state of confusion over sexual identity."

Van Gend cites the National Health and Social Life Survey published in 1994 in the U.S. In this survey, 8% of the 16-year-olds thought they were gay--but, "significantly, that by age 18 only 4% still thought they were gay, and by age 25, only 2 percent still thought they were gay. What that means is that most sexual confusion in school children clears away if left to iteslf. It doesn't need therapy or counseling. It is a passing phase..."

CNSnews.com has more details on this story: "Homosexuals Are Excluding Themselves From Marriage, Family." The Thomas More Centre in Brisbane has posted a speech on homosexuality from a medical perspective by Dr. van Gend on its web site: Thomas More Centre.

"The poop shoot and the reproductive passage are the same in older designs"

LOL Where is the evidence for this bit of nonsense? I'm sure the evolutionists on this thread are cringing at that silliness.

*sigh* Don is, of course, correct.. It's really sad that this is even getting seriously debate. But, anyhow..

Here's a female bird:

Here's a male:

I don't find this especially relevant to the topic at hand, myself, but whatever.

"Here's a female bird"

Okay, not sure what modern birds have to do with the claim that our ancestors used the same 'shoot'.

Nothing whatsoever of surety if you disbelieve the patently evident theory of evolution, but this is not a crevo thread and I'm boycotting those for a reason. heh

That's just misdirection.

I realize it's been awhile, but I've asked you not to post to me again. So don't. My time is too valuable to waste playing games with you.

Fire off a salvo and run for cover, eh? Fine.

From what I have been told, the homosexuality of the Greeks is largly exaggerated. I do not know because I am not an historian. However, Sparta could not stand.

As is the case with every other 2,500 year old city-state. Sparta dominated the Aegean Pen. because they were an unmatchable military power. And that was because they molded their culture to promote a totally ruthless military mind-set, which excluded the gentler sex from involvement or control. They eschewed marriage to that end, and like much of greece, extolled homosexuality, strongly tied to barracksroom sadism and tight military comradary, as the highest, and proper, natural expression of sexual desire. This sort of behavior was noted over a century ago as Levi-Strauss as a markedly familiar recourse of primative tribes when resources become scarce.

I was stating a fact. I refuse to knowingly waste my time which involves engaging you in any conversation. Don't post to me again.

At some point, modern birds and modern humans shared the same ancestry, eh? The nerves of the anus, and our emotional triggers associated with it, came from the same roots as for our reproductive apparatus, at some point in time.

Then don't attach haughty, rude, patronizing glop to your farewells.

...but many studies have concluded that the percentage of gay people is closer to 10%...

Yeah, sure.

I would like to see these "many studies" that prove that 10 percent of the American people are sodomites.

I think that is a gay fairy tale.

Any student of animal behavior is well aware that animals will 'hump' one another as a show of dominance. . .it is not about sex. Put a male dog who has 'humped' another male dog into a room with that same male dog and a female in heat, and guess which one the 'humping' dog will choose.

Yea...so? Once again, the point is that sexual behavior has other utilitarian uses outside of direct reprodcution that affected the survival of genes.

Besides, I've never understood the 'defense' of homosexuality which is based on dogs 'humping' one another. Dogs eat their own vomit and cat feces. They lick their own behinds to clean them. I would hardly think dogs are models of how humans should behave.

Not to belabor the point overmuch but the question wasn't "is it a good idea at the present moment, to be a homosexual". The question was, is the tendency to homosexual behavior an inherited trait?

I made my point about the major and profound difference between animals and humans it seems it was ignored.

Possibly because it is an irrelevant defense of the question of whether or not homosexuality is a natural tendency.

The human homosexual component's "survival value" to the human race is practically zero

Well, that's just loud, ignorant twaddle, just like your chicken remark. If humans live in genetically isolated tribes, as they did for about 3 million years, give or take a tad, then investing in your tribes collection of your near relatives, rather than in your own personal DNA destiny, is bound to be a cinch bet for your DNA. Like I said...do the math yourself.

Practicing sodomy is like taking a crap on your keyboard before you type.

A high percentage of marriages end in bitter divorce. A disturbing percentage of those same marriages manifest domestic violence. Clearly, practicing heterosexuality is like taking a crap on your keyboard.

What part of "don't post to me again" do you not understand? This is the third time I've told in in this thread alone and the third time is a charm - you get the admin moderator pinged for your repeated actions.

I've previously asked to stop posting to me. Yet you posted to me in this thread and engaged in misdirection as you often do. My time is too valuable to waste playing your twisted games. If you don't like me pointing out your misdirection then stop doing it and stop posting to me. Don't respond to this post.

I think that is a gay fairy tale.

It is. And in post 74 there's a link that states even homosexuals admit the 10% fallacy. According to the latest study, including bisexuals, homosexuals account for 2.1% of the population. I believe it stated 1.4% of women and 2.8% of men - including bisexuals.

Post 74 also lists comments of former homosexuals.

Why does this guy, scripter, think he can present a mini-argument, insult me, and then hide behind the Moderator's skirts? If he doesn't want me to respond, all he has to do is genuinely sign off.

I find it interesting that donh uses misdirection on a thread and when called on it, he continues the misdirection. Perhaps his ignorance can be cured by reading what former homosexuals have said on the subject.

If donh doesn't want his misdirection pointed out all he has to do is stop using misdirection. Apparently he thinks he's above being questioned.

"Why would anyone choose to be gay?"

Are you suggesting that it isn't their choice??

"You guys are just falling for a doctor with a pro-family, religious marriage agenda"

It's not an agenda...as the old saying goes, "God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve."
