I don't have anything to back it up right now, so please correct me if I'm mistaken, but I believe I've read this same 2-4% of the population also is responsible for about 30% of all sexual crimes committed against children.

No matter how many times this gets posted, it is not emlematic remains an epic of wishful thinking. What the article says, op-ed opinions aside, is that animal homosexual behavior is widespread. None of the distinctions this article attempts to make differentiates human behavior from animal behavior. Suggesting that animals have reasons for engaging in sexual behavior does not make animals distinct from humans in that regard.
