The New York Times will print anything that makes the war look bad. First of all, who the hell sends "cables" anymore? How exactly was it "intercepted"? Do you think that anonymous confirming sources will be touted?
The old Media just doesn't get it. Even if this were true, this is not "news"...it's one opinion from one of the many sources that have responsbility for securing the situation there. Without triangulation, concrete evidence and specifics, or corraborating data, this is tabloid magazine crap.

It's now or never for the terrorists. The date isn't moving and their time is running out. Not a surprise, and they will lose.

Uh huh. A classified cable from the CIA that made its way to the NY Times. No agendas here.

Ooo. Another political hit from the liberal swine in the CIA.
Find out who did it. The CIA isn't liberals' stash of secrets to be used against political opponents.
To: waterman478
Could be just one of the remaining worms in the CIA system trying to cause damage before being rooted out by Goss.
To: Billthedrill
Looks like Goss hasn't fired ALL the leakers yet!

I'm sure Danny Boy has a copy of the 'cable' in his hands right now. It says WESTERN UNION on the top.

I don't understand reports like this. May be out of context, then again sometimes these are the reports. It seems to me there is violence in Iraq, even an upsurge because of the upcoming elections and teh Falujah campaign. But is the Iraqi government crumbling? Is our military on the brink of defeat? No.
My guess is someone is reporting the upsurge in violence and that it may not get better until at least after the election.

What the heck is a "cable leak"? Is that like a " Chunnel thing" ? I was under the impression that we had "diplomatic pouches" by courier. How does a 'Cable' "leak", and how often does it happen?
