UNC Law School Courting John Edwards
POSTED: 9:41 am EST December 6, 2004
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- The law school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is recruiting Senator John Edwards to teach there once he moves back to the state.
Law school Dean Gene Nichol says he sent a letter two weeks ago to Edwards and his wife, asking that they consider any association with the school. Nichol also asked Elizabeth Edwards to consider working with the law school in some capacity.
Nichol says both John and Elizabeth Edwards are graduates who have donated money and time.
Edwards and his family plan to move to Orange County, four miles from the campus. Until then, they will be living in Washington while Elizabeth Edwards completes a five-month treatment for breast cancer. Copyright 2004 by The Associated Press.

I wonder if he'll stand in front of his classes for 50 minutes in his "thumbs-up" pose.
Oh the shame of it.
An NC State graduate teaching at Carolina and in the law school to boot. The bluezone chill in Chapel Hill will be 3 degrees colder just because of his presence.
He's been neutered, he can't do any harm politically.
Ashamed to say he is a UNC Law School grad.
Do they have a "Chair of Ambulance Chasing" at UNC Law?
Agreed. If Smiling Johnny thinks he has a snowball's chance in Hades of ever getting the Dummycrap nomination, he is crazy ... although I admit that I would love to see a Clinton / Kerry / Gore / Edwards battle in 08. Let the festivities begin!
Will have soon.

Pretty Pony Ping
I ran into John Edwards in a bookstore in Arlington, VA last Saturday night. Doesn't look like he has gone back to North Carolina yet.
