I am a high school teacher, and given our kid's propensity to be swayed by idiot actors, performers, and sports figures, I decided to give them a weekly lesson in who heroes REALLY are - our fighting men and women. I've found a few good stories (those that aren't in MSM), and have seen others on Freep (and elswhere), but cannot find them. I've done multiple searches on Freep, but have been fruitless. I am not going to make it an entire class period lesson, just a few minutes at the beginning of class at the end of the week, to read the story, discuss with them a little, and move on.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
I should clarify - I have found 2 on Freep (from which I got the idea): "Dying for Fallujah" and "A Hero's Sacrifice." These are the kinds of stories for which I am looking.

You can also go straight to the Defense Department web site (www.dod.mil) and find a ton of information.
Thanks all! I knew I could count on you!
I will try to post a weekly thread updating you all on my progress, as well as the kid's reactions to it.
