As a practicing Roman Catholic, I cannot write about the advance of the Homosexual Activist Agenda without a look at the current scandal overshadowing the Catholic Church. At first, the news media continually wrote about the “pedophile priest” problem. And then, almost overnight, it became the “sex abuse scandal”. But, when the title changed, no one in the media reported why the issue had become one of “sex” and not “pedophilia.” Why? Frankly, I believe the liberal press didn’t want to have to report that the Boy Scouts of America are right to keep homosexuals from becoming Scout Masters.
In the early 1970’s the entire Catholic Sexual Ethic began unraveling as the sexual revolution unfolded. The cancer of liberalism entered the Church and Catholics began challenging and openly dissenting with regard to abortion, contraception, fornication, divorce and homosexuality. Liberals interpreted Vatican II as a mandate for democratic rule by the laity to guide the Church instead of the revealed truth of Holy Scripture and Christian tradition. Such liberal interpretations of Vatican II coupled with the sexual revolution occurring at the time, led Catholic seminaries to open their doors to theologians who openly challenged Church teaching and taught dissent to candidates for the priesthood. With the Catholic moral guard almost fully down, homosexual men began entering the priesthood in great numbers. A fatal error the Church is now reeling from in the current scandal.
This is certainly politically incorrect territory. But, you only need to look at a handful of the legal cases against the Church to find that a very small number deal with true pedophilia and that the vast majority (about 95% by most counts) deal with homosexual relationships with teen males. And, nowhere is the case made stronger than that of the Reverend Paul Shanley, a Catholic Priest accused of molesting countless young boys in the Archdiocese of Boston. In the early 1970’s Shanley gave a speech advocating sex between men and boys. It is clear today that speech was the impetus for the formation of the North American Man Boy Love Association (NAMBLA). An organization that Shanley has stayed intimately associated with.
As someone who has personally dealt with the Homosexual Activist Agenda that has invaded our public schools (I was one of the parents that helped to rid the Santa Fe Public Schools of the Gay Lesbian Youth Preventing Homophobia curriculum), I would like to draw attention to an interesting correlation. The Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network (GLSEN) was founded in Boston, the epicenter of the Church’s current scandal. With the blessing of then Governor Paul Cellucci, GLSEN was formed with taxpayer dollars appropriated by the Governor himself. It was also in Boston that the first Gay Straight Alliance formed under the guidance of GLSEN. Now, good Christians everywhere are fighting to keep the Homosexual Activists who are fueled by the well-organized Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network from dominating our public schools. It was also in Boston at Tufts University that the first “Teach Out” was held where children as young as twelve received graphic instruction in the how-to's of gay sex---all paid for with taxpayer dollars under the organization of GLSEN.
A powerful lesson can be found in the rubble of the current scandal for all Christians. We must remain ever vigilant in our efforts to speak the truth about God’s plan for human sexuality and we can never succumb to the smoke screen of human rights that is thrown up each time we object to the normalization of homosexual behavior in the mainstream. Sexual expression is NOT a human rights issue. It is an unpopular view to have, but the homosexual activist movement is all about sex---sex with whomever, wherever, whenever and at whatever age they want. The Catholic Church would have done well to have taken the lead presented by the Boy Scouts and barred homosexual men from any contact with young boys. Sadly, in an effort to be more welcoming and tolerant, the Church compromised its own written principles.
I caution against being fooled by the smokescreens thrown up by liberal Catholics seeking to pin the current scandal on the issue of Celibacy or the ordination of women. If celibacy is not a gift from God and sexual urges are not controllable then we might as well throw in the towel on the whole abstinence issue and admit we are all animals. And, likewise to suggest that women are a cure for promiscuity is just laughable.
Where does the church go from here? It is a multifaceted question with many answers. Clearly, the church hierarchy has issues of responsibility and complicity to answer. After that, a complete restoration and fidelity to Catholic moral teaching must be adhered to. Then, the Church must deal with the Homosexual Activists within its midst with Christian charity and with the principles of Catholic moral teaching.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church states that homosexuality itself though not a sin is disordered. The pronouncement of sin is reserved to the homosexual act. It is the disordered nature of homosexuality that the Bishops must deal with as it relates to the suitability of homosexual candidates to the priesthood just as the Boy Scouts have done. Concerning this subject, Cardinal Anthony J. Bevilacqua of Philadelphia recently declared, “By his orientation, he’s (the homosexual) not giving up family and marriage. He’s giving up what the Church considers an aberration, a moral evil.” He went on to say that because of this aberration, gays are not suitable for the priesthood even if they remain celibate.
Indeed, it is the disordered nature of homosexuality that all Christians base their objections on. No one, especially not young people, should be affirmed into a disordered lifestyle. A disordered nature isn’t something to be celebrated nor is it something to take pride in. Counter to popular culture we must reiterate that homosexuality is a psychological disorder.
Please pray for the Catholic Church. That is the most important action Christians can take to heal the body of Christ at this crucial time in history. Let's all pray that the Catholic Bishops will take a strong moral stand regarding homosexuality in the priesthood. And, that having taken such an unpopular stand as the largest Christian denomination in the US, it will become a beacon of truth for all people of Faith who fight to uphold Judeo-Christian moral teaching.

Those among a tiny percentage of population commit one-third or more of the cases of child sexual molestation
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- A new report published by the Family Research Council (FRC) reveals that there is a body of evidence indicating a definite link between homosexuality and pedophilia. Statistics show that homosexual men, who represent less than 3 percent of the adult male population, commit a disproportionate number (one-third or more) of the cases of child sexual molestation. The report, "Homosexuality and Child Sexual Abuse," authored by Dr. Timothy J. Dailey (available at www.frc.org.), is being sent to parents, youth groups, school administrators, Catholic bishops, and religious organizations.
FRC's report comes at a time when the nation has been rocked by scandals of child sexual abuse and when homosexuals argue that youth organizations such as the Boy Scouts should be forced to include homosexuals as leaders. Similarly, gay activist organizations are encouraging homosexual teachers to share their sexuality with their students. Many parents have become concerned that children may be molested, encouraged to become sexually active, or even "recruited" into adopting a homosexual identity and lifestyle.
"Homosexuality and Child Sexual Abuse" examines the following evidence linking homosexuality to pedophilia:
"Children have become the last sexual frontier," FRC President Ken Connor said. "Those given the task of protecting our nation's children should give a serious look at these statistics and think twice before complying with the demands of homosexual activists."

A 14-year-old girl in foster care is raped and impregnated by Deacon Stephen Andrews of the Advent Christian Church in Kennebunk, Maine, a trusted figure. She gives birth. Andrews gets 5 years in prison, 3 of them suspended, despite the protests of the prosecutor.
Salvation Army Captain William Douglas is convicted of molesting, sodomizing and sexually terrorizing young Indian boys in a village in British Columbia. Douglas was acquitted of similar charges in 1985; the judge said he could not accept that a minister would lie.
Born-again Delaware preacher William J. Keichline, Sr. is commended by the legislature for running Mission of Care ministry for the homeless. As a landlord he assaults and rapes a girl for 3 years starting when she is 7, threatening to evict her family if she tells. He gets eight 20 year prison terms for rape, bondage and child pornography.
Included in the study were prominent clergy and evangelists who had made names for themselves through special ministries or "good works."
The profile of the typical minister charged with molesting children: a 45-year-old man (ages ranged from 24 to 80 at the time of arrest), with 4 to 5 named victims, most often boys in their early teens.
Of all the accused, 37% involved female victims, 58% male victims, and 3.2% children of both sexes. (In 1% of the cases, the sex of the victim was not identified.)
Charges for all 190 cases involved a total of 847 victims. Most ministers, however, were suspected of molesting many other children. Conservatively, the 190 clergy had at least 4,000 other victims, for a low estimate of an average of 21 victims each. These children were not included in charges for pragmatic legal reasons, because they had been molested in other cities and times, or because the statute of limitations had been exceeded. Some estimates were anecdotal based on investigations or confessions by the molester.
Convicted ministers averaged 5 victims each, with 133 ministers molesting at least 651 named victims.
Information on the marital status of Protestants, gleaned from newspaper accounts so therefore incomplete, showed that at least 43% were married. This would dispel the idea that celibacy alone triggers ministerial child molestation. Twelve cases involved clergy charged with molesting their own children, stepchildren, adopted children or foster children.
While many see therapy as a panacea for this crime, only about a third of the convicted ministers and priests had had some kind of counseling or psychiatric evaluation, mandated or otherwise.
Typical Profile
The average age of priests charged last year with sexual abuse of children was 50 years. The range was 35 to 73 years.
The average Protestant minister was 46 years, with a similar range.
Lay Catholics and Protestants charged with sexual abuse were typically caught while in their 30's.
Many Previous Records
Shockingly, 11 out of 46 Protestant ministers charged in 1990 with criminal sexual abuse had prior convictions--almost a quarter of the cases:
All prior convictions were since 1985. Most of the men received light sentences enabling them to return to the pulpit--and continued sexual abuse of children--quickly. Churches are not only failing to check ministers' records, but in some instances are knowingly hiring convicted child molesters.
Five of the 23 nonordained Protestant church workers charged last year had had run-ins with authorities, including one discharged from the Navy for molesting boys.
In 22% of the cases, cover-ups shielding Protestant ministers were reported, in a variety of denominations. These included out-of-court settlements, defrocking a suspected child abuser but not notifying authorities about the abuse, "spiritual support," complicity, congregations applauding accused abusers, and telling reporters "The whole church knows he's not guilty," and "We're solidly behind him." "Satan can get his claws into anyone," said the friend of an Episcopalian rector accused of 73 counts of sodomizing and abusing mentally and emotionally handicapped boys before church functions.
The most blatant cover-up involved a Salvation Army minister who was permitted to keep his job and given continuing access to children after back-to-back arrests for sexually abusing children at the church.
"CHURCH EVANGELIZERS PREYED ON LOW-INCOME KIDS.
Men from a rural Baptist church known for its aggressive evangelizing of children are suspected of molesting as many as 22 boys & girls. The associate pastor, volunteer bus driver & a third church member are believed to have fondled some & raped others, ranging in age from 3 to 10, on church buses & property. Charges involving 10 victims were brought against Associate Pastor Timothy Lee Leonard, 32, of North Sharon Baptist Church near Grass Lake, & volunteer Sunday school bus driver, church deacon Mark Foeller. Three other church members are being investigated. The suspects went to low-income housing projects or trailer parks in 4 counties, telling parents they would "take the children to church & teach them about God", according to Det. Robert Fitzpatrick, Jackson Co. Men would walk up to children in their yards, coaxing them with treats to come to weekend services or summer Bible school. Leonard was relieved of church duties involving children in August, after police started investigating him when a doctor reported suspected abuse in a child with a sexual disease. He also worked as instructor & gym teacher in the North Sharon Christian School, enrolling about 65 students. "

A family in Dare County, North Carouna is suing Methodist minister Carl M. Eller for abusing their daughter, 11, as well as the North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church, a bishop and a reverend for knowing of his history of sexual misconduct but doing nothing about it. The family says she was molested when her father, a carpenter, was installing cabinets in the parsonage. Eller pleaded no contest to a charge of criminal assault on a female. However, the family said that in 1987 Eller had molested or made lewd comments to 4 women at his church, and forcibly kissed and touched 2 girls age 13. One of several girls who said Alva minister Rev. Robert Bruce Brigden molested her is suing the First Presbyterian Church for failing to check his background before hiring him. Rev. Robert Bruce Brigden was sentenced to 40 years in prison for molesting young girls in his congregation, convicted on 8 counts of lewd molestation & 1 count of rape by instrumentation involving a girl, 7. Bridgen, 57, was accused of molesting 11 girls, aged 4 to 14, during the 4 years he was at the Alva church. His congregation put the church up as bond, insisting he was innocent. He was placed in protected custody. Brigden blamed his arrest on a girl, 4, whose parents were the first to take the children's allegations seriously. "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned," Brigden wrote his wife about the 4-year-old, whom he described as "4 going on 400 years old", saying she invited him to spend the night in her bed, & was mad that he declined. * CONVICTED PASTOR "RIGHT WITH LORD".
Rev. Virgil Carpenter, 48, pastor of Bible Missionary Church in Ontario, was convicted of sodomy & sexual abuse of a girl, 9, over a 1-1/2 year period. A jury convicted Carpenter of 2 felony counts of sodomy & 4 felony counts of sexual abuse. He faces 5 additional felony charges in 2 upcoming trials. So it would seem also with homosexuality, whether acted upon or not.

This is a nation-wide program. I work ina local Parish implementing this program and am not aware at all with what you suggest. Please cite program material stating the two are NOT related.
Actually, I heard of one. It was mentioned in a Jay Leno monologue a few years back. It seems a priest visiting the U.S. from Poland got in trouble for having sex with a young lady. Leno couldn't help himself with that kind of set-up for the "Polish joke".
Well I would rather trust the teachings of the Catholic Church than you on this issue.
The Elmore County Sheriff is now investigating a third accusation of sexual abuse against the pastor of Wetumpka's Calvary Baptist Church. He was arrested sunday afternoon at his church after the families of two eight year old girls filed charges against him.
Garret Dykes made his first court appearance Tuesday morning. About a half dozen other inmates also made their first appearance in court Tuesday morning and Dykes got there early before the others, sat in court calmly, chatting with the sheriff and the Assistant District Attorney. He didn't seem nervous or disturbed at all. When it was his time to go before the judge, Dykes said he understood the seven charges against him for sexual abuse and sodomy as well as production charges for making a video tape of the incidents. He could face up to life in prison, if convicted.
Dykes' church members say they are still in shock. They describe him as articulate and personable with an out going personality and they don't know what they should have done differently. John Pritchett is the Church Administrator. He says, "We did a background check on this man. We did a credit check on this man. Checked his references. Our search committee interviewed him, talked with church members of his former church and I don't know what else you can do to check some out."
The sheriff says he's investigating a report from a third family that says their 10-year-old daughter was also allegedly abused by Garrett Dykes. The District Attorney Randall Houston says there maybe other victims.
This is the epicenter of cultural terrorism in this country.
