NPR Reporter Says Christians Should 'Burn' by Terry Phillips, correspondent
Hateful voice mail message to conservative group leads to resignation.
A National Public Radio (NPR) reporter has resigned after a hateful voice mail message she left for a conservative group was made public.
Rachel Buchman worked for WHYY in Philadelphia, an NPR affiliate, when she called the offices of the Web site laptoplobbyist.com to express her outrage over an e-mail the group sent to her opposing special rights for homosexuals.
"You're evil, horrible people. You're awful people," she said, identifying herself only as "Rachel." "You represent horrible ideas. God hates you and He wants to kill your children. You should all burn."...

You know, a few years back, I was watching PBS(KERA) here in dallas and noticed the anti-christian atmosphere. For starters, there were all of these episodes on TV that continually tried to use science to debunk the bible.
Also, there was this guy named Joseph Campbell being interviewed in a 4 hour show by Bill Moyers, in which Campbell continually discredited the bible and had a multi-cultural attitude.
Bill Moyers praised this man. I was shocked.
Thanks. First time I've seen it.
You're right. I didn't realize that I could search an article's title within freerepublic to make sure that it wasn't already posted. I will do in the future. Thanks.
A note to anyone else who at times feel hopelessly enraged by the anti-christian bigotry in the media and acedamia today.
Christianity always flourishes under persecution.
My point exactly.
Why waste your time posting something that's already up?
But whatever.
With a hateful, idiotic outburst this loud, I bet Rachel will soon be offered her choice of positions on Michael Moore's or Bill Maher's personal staff.
Watch for her star to rise among the extremist left-wing elite.
Reckon what god she is acquanted with? I sure isn't YHWY.
You mean there are FReepers who aren't?
She'll get a position on err-America.

Same here.
Maybe she's a Wahib Muslim...
Agreed, but ...
or maybe shes just stupid.
"you should all burn in hell," is what she said. That conjours up a totally different picture. Until I heard the actual recording I thought she meant they should all be burned at the stake. LOL. I know that is not something we often think of, but with my education in Christain History it did come to my mind.
Upon her hiring, will CNN be changing to "ACNN" The Anti-Christ News Network?
As a non-christian I am totally at a loss for this loathing.
I always considered the christian majority a safeguard for the minority of us.
